The exact problem it solves and how much it solves it.
In case you are uncertain what this is about: when you bring in your Apple Pencil to, say, draw a shape, the tip hits the glass, then does a tiny little skid. Also, as you lift the pencil off, it also slips a tiny, tiny amount. This means that all your shapes, (or letters if you are writing script, say) start and end with itsy bitsy little tails. This product reduces that problem by about 60%. Often now, I have no little tails at all, but still do at times, though I believe they are smaller. This product also reduces the light from the screen some, noticeably affecting viewing from the side. I was worried about that at first, but the way I use my iPad, it hasn’t been an issue for me at all.

Trades better writing surface for impaired view
The upside is that it does provide more friction for a better writing surface. But the big downside is that the matte finish transforms a beautiful clear retina display into a view that resembles looking through frosted glass. It wasn’t worth the trade off so I too it off. I have adjusted my writing to the iPad surface.

Excellent screen protector. Great for art/drawing on the iPad.
I was really looking forward to using this on my 12.9" iPad Pro but when I opened the package, the screen protector was fr a 10.5" iPad Pro, even though the packaging said it was for 12.9". Very disappointed.Poor quality control, Geevon. I won't risk buying iy again only to have to make another return. Complete waste of my time.EDIT: Apparently there was a mixup in Amazon's warehouse and the wrong products were shipped. Geevon sent me a replacement directly and I revised this review. The product is easy to install; clear instructions are included. Just make sure that your screen is clean and dust free.Wiping pads are included. Even if you find a speck of dust under the sheet, it is easy to lift up and there is a little sticky tab included so you can get rid of the speck of dust. After using it for awhile I do notice a difference between this and a bare iPad screen, especially if you are using an Apple Pencil and iPad Pro.The screen has a lot more "tooth". I won't say that is comparable to drawing on paper, but it does eliminaqte the slipperiness nough to make it a worthwhile purchase. However, it is pricey. $35 is a lot to spend on a screen protector. I would only recommend this for poeople who produce art on their iPads and really find the bare screen to slippery for the Apple pencil. Perhqps if Geevon didn't using so expensive packing they could sell it for a reasonable price. Also, I note that I originally posted this for a 12.9" iPad Pro, the heading is now for a 9.7" iPad with a "badge" that says 12.9 iPad Pro

Must have for anyone that cares
This screen protector does exactly what Geevon say it does. It adds significant drag to the pencil, enough that you can even hear it. Music to my ears.5 stars because I didn't have any unreasonable expectations about ease of application or its ability to emulate a note or sketchbook, but if I did here's how I might air my grievances:- It doesn't add any softness to the screen like the extra pages in a book might.- The application process was the same as for a phone, except take that level of difficulty and multiply it by 5. But, after spending a good amount of time preparing surfaces I managed to get the sheet on without any bubbles and great alignment. Just be patient, you might only get one shot...- After applying, debris was generated from the protector's surface. My theory is that the microstructures (laser generated?) were not "broken in", so you've got to knock off all of the high spots before the debris stops generating. I was able to easily get it all off with a paper towel and windex. All of this being said, I'm pumped to have this. Glass is not meant to be written on, so until smart paper starts to work this screen protector is definitely the way to go.

Pointless purchase.
First off - I never ever write bad reviews. But for 50 bucks, here I go-toThis product has nothing to do with grip. It comes in a nice box and instructions that don't make sense with what you're given, and the texture on the screen makes absolutely no difference. I'm a professional animator and very dispointed with this purchase. I wouldn't be so upset if it wasn't so over priced. The quality in this product simply goes into how thick that the product is, but not it's function whatsoever.

Great screen protector
I purchased this after I got my ipad pro 12.9" and a recommendation from one of my illustration and graphic design peers, but just ordering one of these stick-on screen protectors makes me nervous - I feel like I'm totally incapable of applying these properly, without bubbles and lint.I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived and it happens to be a a tempered glass stick-on instead of a floppy plastic sticker (I think I didn't read the description well enough). There were some weird "guide stickers" and "dust absorber" stickers included in the cleaning kit that threw me for a loop at first but I didn't use them. My main tips are to be vigilant and obsessive when you're cleaning then drying your screen prior to applying the sheet and you should be fine. I had a few smaller bubbles that wouldn't come out at the very top of the screen near the front facing camera, but thanks to a reviewer here, kept calm, did not flip out, and VOILA, overnight the bubbles went away!So far I really love it! The screen is definitely less slick and it's much more pleasant to draw on with the Apple Pencil.

Its just " OK" not worth the price
Not sure what to expect when I received this but it came nicely packaged and for the price I guess I expected it to feel just like writing on paper but unfortunately, I can't tell a difference on my ipad pro 12.9 using my apple pencil. There is just a tad bit of thickness to it but other than that, not much difference. Its still protecting my screen so I gave it 4 starts.
