OXO Good Grips Oven Thermometer

I have a bit of an oven thermometer obsession. When I'm baking bread, pizza, or cookies, it drives me nuts how the oven temperature fluctuates around the target. On top of that, my old GE oven is off by about 25F at high settings and 50F at lower settings. This is a baking nightmare. I've tried 5 other oven thermometers, all of them well rated and fakespotted, and they've all had problems ranging from inaccuracy, breakage, falling off, to the paper inside burning and making the readings illegible. This Oxo oven thermometer has none of those issues. It has large, legible numbers. It stays hooked onto the rack even if I bump it. It seems accurate, albeit with the usual delay of 10 minutes or more to get a good reading. Overall I'm very happy with this.

I don’t trust my oven temp alerts. This was replacing a cheaper stained one. This has a large face, easy to read. Confirms my oven temp alerts.

It's accurate and easy to read. It's intended to be hung from an oven rack and swings whenever the rack moves. I think it's likely to fall to the floor of the oven. Otherwise, it's a great thermometer.

Bought this as part of a gift. Love the OXO product line. Good price at Amazon. I was told that it worked well. Very sturdy and durable.

After some online searches and reading numerous reviews, I decided on this OXO Thermometer. My wife is a new macaron baker, and accurate oven temperature is critical to baking these delicate desserts. This thermometer helped confirm that our oven was operating about 10 degrees higher (on average) than the set temperature.

Probably one of, or the best brand of oven thermometers. It's lightweight, reliable and very well made, with a good reputation. Temps on it match my oven settings.

Bought one recently based on reviews, because my oven was not heating properly. Just had a service man in and he said the thermometer was off by 40 degrees. I thought I was getting good quality buying an Oxo product. 👎🏻

Great thermometer - seems to be accurate. I appreciate that you can either hang it from a rack or set it on a rack - good versatility. Great for accurately tracking oven or grill temperatures.

Found out that my oven temperature is out, I've always suspected it was. Always liked the quality of the OXO stuff. Thought briefly of looking for an over thermometer of this type at the dollar store but thought better of it as I wouldn't have known if the temperature it was reporting was accurate. Would definitely buy it again.

Bought this so I could more accurately gauge the oven temperature, as trying to divine this via oven knob & temp lines found on most ovens, is not ideal. Less of an issue if you have an oven with digital temp settings (my pipedream !). It's surprising just how 'off' most ovens are if you rely on the knob & temp line approach; I've found in most cases about 20 degree's off, which can really affect a cake/dessert bake. So I've found this gauge very helpful ... my bakes agree !

I liked this product at first, but after 2 months it has stopped working entirely. It's not been dropped or mishandled. I'm disappointed.
