Walters Handmade Cranberry & Almond Nougat 100g

one of the very best old receipe nougats i have tried. surprised that the south africans make this stuff but they clearly know what they are doing. really chewy and not sickly sweet. very similar to the artisan nougat made in some villages in spain. grossly superior to the mass produced sickly sweet fluffy crap the is sold all over europe. all nougat is not the same....try this stuff and you will see what i mean !! the worlds best nougat is made in cremona, italy but its a devil to get hold of in the UK and can tend to be too aerated and therefore lacking texture. the south africans have their version spot on. 10/10 best of all with this product.....no corn fructose syrup is used (unlike sally williams range!!)

I have just bought 3 bars of Walters nougat for the first time after reading reviews on how good it is. I love it and this cranberry and almond is my very favourite flavour! In my opnion it is truly the best nougat I have ever had! It is chewy and not too soft or too sweet. The texture is wonderful and the pieces of cranberry and almond are just the right size. The thickness of the rice paper is perfect and the flavour is exquisite! I shall certainly be buying this again and highly recommend it to those with a discerning preference for the very best quality nougat. The modest price belies the very highest quality!

First had this nougat in South Africa and in managing to find I could order some through amazon ordered some for ourselves and family. It is the best nougat I have ever tasted - full of nuts and fruits with a really creamy nougat. Arrived within a couple of days so was able to give some to family as stocking fillers.
