I’ve tried four flavors of Nutricost Whey Protein Isolate: Chocolate Peanut Butter, Cookies & Cream, Strawberry Milkshake, and Mocha. 1. Chocolate Peanut Butter 5/5 Best flavor by far. It mostly tastes like a solid chocolate protein with a noticeable peanut undertone (like PB2). The peanut flavor isn’t overpowering. Easy to drink daily. Will be buying again. 2. Cookies & Cream 4/5 Tastes like a vanilla protein base with small cookie pieces mixed in. Flavor itself is good, but the cookie chunks are a downside for me. They don’t dissolve, clump together, and are hard to fully clean out of a shaker. That said, it works very well when mixed into yogurts or other recipes. 3. Strawberry Milkshake 2.5/5 Not terrible, but not good. It has a vanilla base with an artificial strawberry flavor that tastes watered down. Reminds me of thin strawberry yogurt rather than a milkshake. I wouldn’t want to finish a whole container of this flavor again. 4. Mocha 0/5 Very disappointing. It doesn’t taste like mocha. The artificial coffee flavor is extremely unpleasant and overpowers everything else. It quite literally tastes like instant coffee brewed through an old cabbage leaf. I seriously don't recommend this one. Overall Quality: This is a good middle-ground protein powder. The macros/ingredients are solid and it mixes pretty well. In terms of taste, I’d place it below RYSE and above something like Gold Standard. Good value for price.

I tryed it for the first time this morning. It dissolved instantly and tasted delicious. Non-GMO and no fillers that I could see. Just pure whey protein which is what I wanted. A little spendy, but you get what you pay for.

I have graduate level degrees in physiology and molecular biology, and I have been consistently involved in weight training for the last 20yrs. I've used Nutricost brand for various supplements and have never been disappointed. Their Whey Protein Isolate is no different. Great taste (have tried chocolate, mocha, and chocolate PB), excellent mixability, and one of the best values in terms of price per gram of protein. The one downside you need to be aware of is the sodium content of this product. Most of their flavors are coming in at 200-300mg salt per one scoop. After comparisons, I found that to be on the high end of what you would get from other top protein alternatives. It took me a couple of months of having relatively large day to day weight fluctuations to realize something was affecting my water retention. I maintain a strict diet that doesn't change much from day to day. Gaining 6-7lbs over a day or two, only to lose it a few days later is not normal. I don't use this protein every single day, but instead use it if I'm running late in the morning or often times at night if I haven't hit my protein macro goal for the day. I would go a couple days of not using it, but then maybe have 2-3 scoops the next day. then off for another day or so, and repeat. The salt was wreaking havoc with my fluid retention. If you are sensitive to salt, looking to stay on a low sodium diet, or have blood pressure issues, I would consider looking to another protein supplement. Otherwise, any more than 1-2 scoops in a day is probably not a great idea unless you are closing tracking your sodium intake and can offset it somewhere else in your diet. If you are using this protein regularly, you need to be sure you are hydrating appropriately to help flush the excess sodium and avoid fluid retention.

Good source of protein to calorie ratio. Mixes well and taste better than more expensive brands.
