I needed a plain white crock for water, and I didn't have floor space for a stand. This countertop stand seemed like the answer. It suits our MCM style, and I had plans to stain it. Unfortunately it's not well made. The leg is crooked so it's wobbly and irritates me to look at. The wood grain is all over the place. Not attractive for a countertop, especially in the part of our house we spend the most time and entertain people. I can't drink our tap water, and I wanted to reduce plastic, so I wanted a way to have water without making my house look like a break room. This will do for now. I just wish the stand were better. It shouldn't be wobbly. Luckily we don't use it to hold the water jugs. We just fill it up with water and put the lid on.

One of the legs on the stand is crooked. The whole thing wobbles. This is not a complicated piece of carpentry, and straight legs are a reasonable expectation. I will be replacing it at some point.

I'm using this for my dogs. I'm not one to keep up with replacing water filters, so I just opted to fill up a jar with filtered water as needed from a nearby filling station. It works well for us and it looks cute!
