I wasn’t going to buy this initially but for the price I just couldn’t pass it up. It took a few days to ship but once processed, it took about 3 days from Japan to my doorstep. The reel is perfect despite some mixed reviews (no gaps between bail/rotor, no scratches). All tolerances are super tight as expected. It took one additional shim and line lay is good to go. I’ve always been a fan of Daiwa’s gearing, and the MQ body has made it even bigger and stronger (and smoother). The saltiga lineup is currently the absolute pinnacle of spinning reels imo.

This should’ve been a top-notched reel from Daiwa but instead it’s a disappointment for me. A very big gap on the bail arm opposite the line roller about 2mm when the bail is open and 1mm when the bail is closed. Definitely, sand, gunk and saltwater will enter and corrosion is inevitable. Own lots of Daiwa reels and they’ve been fun to use. Returning it

It’s worth every penny. Shipping from Japan on Friday and I got it the the following Tuesday. 5 day shipping because I paid for extra ship. I got the 6000H. The performance was amazing offshore. It’s a beautiful reel. The packaging was reel good.

The reel feels rough. And there are signs of use on the reel body. Went down to a local tackle shop to compare the reel. Also comes with some paint peel. Will be returning the reel. Probably a reel that was returned by other customers and resold on amazon. Be careful.
