The RainPoint 2-Zone Water Timer is a quality battery operated water timer. I integrated it into my backyard drip system about a week ago and, thus far, it’s operating flawlessly. What I appreciate about this timer is its affordability and simplicity in programming multiple watering cycle parameters. The large LCD screen is very easy to read and the water customization scheduling for each zone is a breeze to program. The user manual provides a clear step-by-step process for installation, activation, and zone programming. Programming features include watering start and duration times; frequency in term of hours (1-12) and days (daily, every 2nd or 3rd day). Additional functions include a rain delay mode, and manual watering. I’ve used both automatic and manual modes and both function quite well. Lastly, RainPoint provides a 5 year product warranty. I have been using the excellent Rainpoint Sprinkler Timer with a single zone for several years to control the irrigation system I built for my wife’s greenhouse and outside vegetable beds. I purchased the model with the Brass Swivel to ensure it was rugged enough for constant multiyear use. And I must say that the performance of that unit has been outstanding. We use it in the mountains for most of the year and take it inside for the freezing months. After several years we have determined that the watering cycle needs to be significantly different for the outside beds vs the greenhouse due to solar heating and evaporation. Therefore, I was in the market to replace the single zone timer with a dual zone unit. Naturally since we both loved the easy programmability, simplicity, and fantastic reliability of our current Rainpoint single zone timer, we opted to simply purchase the two zone version of the same thing. We loved the fact that we already basically understood how to use the excellent programming system with the easy to use rotating program dial and simple and easy to read buttons. The display is plenty large and clear enough to see even for our older eyes and gives all the info you need. We opted to use the 2 zones separately but you can also use them together if you wish. You can also manually turn on and off either or both zones without disturbing the programming. Overall, we have been completely satisfied with the quality, durability, and performance of the Rainpoint Sprinkler Timer system and highly recommend it.

Here in Texas we water our house foundation to hopefully prevent major foundation failure. Best time to water is usually early morning. I do my watering at 5am before the sun rises and way before I get up. This two outlet two zone timer conveniently does the job for me. By using a set of hose bib splitters, I can water two sides of the house and have a functional faucet for other watering needs as necessary. This timer is easy to use once you learn the setting procedures. It turns on and off as expected and so far is watertight. I have two minor issues with it though. The display is difficult to see in the bright sunlight. By slightly angling it, I've reduced this problem. The other issue is the time allowed for setting a manual mode timer. While the manual timer setting procedure is straightforward, the amount of time allowed to set the timer is way too short. Frequently, it resets itself before I can complete the timer setting sequence. An additional 10-15 seconds at minimum would be appreciated.

Purchased 2 zone unit in September 2025. Worked fine for 4 months then one zone stopped working. I contacted support and in less than a week I got a working replacement. Great service and communication. The device itself is easy to setup, program and built well. Would purchase again.

This is a easy to install and easy to set up and easy to read- one of my favorites for small gardening/ landscaping projects for a 2 zone setup. After one season of use so far, the plastic housing has weathered very well and works/ looks like new even after being attached to the spigot in full hot sun. the batteries have not been replaced after 5 months of use either. The timers function perfectly - a few clicks / seconds to turn on between adjusting the settings. I will continue to use and purchase as a professional for its economy and quality

This two-zone sprinkler timer by RainPoint is a solid addition to my gardening toolkit. I was immediately impressed by how easy to use it was right out of the box - insert batteries, rotate the dial and press a few buttons, and you're ready to go. More importantly, it's REALLY easy to make changes or use the manual watering mode with clear and easy to use button functionality. No more headaches and hand watering. For such an affordable price, I was pleasantly surprised by how sturdy and well-made the unit is. The design keeps water out so the batteries last long, and your lawn gets the care it deserves. I like it so much I bought another for my front yard.

As I have many sprinklers arranged around my property for my many plants, trees, flowers and vegetable garden, I couldn’t possibly spend all day standing outside watering them. I also work out of town several consecutive days a week and could not rely on rain to keep them watered, especially in the summer. I have 4 in my yard now, each with 2 “zones”. (It took a little while to deduce that each of the two connections on the timer control a “zone”. Not very clear in the instructions) You can set different days, times, duration of watering, etc. for each zone, which makes this one timer very tailorable to your needs. I have used these Rainpoint timers for several years and the only annoyance is that I have to remove the timer itself and bring it inside in the winter (zone 8b) so that is doesn’t freeze and break. I am not sure there is any device that will not freeze in the winter or will not break if it does freeze. Still, I do recommend this product for its reliability and ease of use.

Very easy to use. Good quality and well built. Highly recommend!

Lasted one season. After summer 2024 season, I took it in the house to keep it dry and prevent from freezing, also took out the batteries. Most of the buttons don't work so it is useless and now one more item for the landfill. (and wasted money).
