Faithfull Hardwood File Handle 4In

Great sturdy file handle with a nice feel to it. Those complaining theirs have split should know that you don't 'hammer' or force these handles onto the tang of your file; just push file tang into the recess provided, and a couple of downward taps of the file handle onto your workbench will suffice. Using these sensibly should ensure these last you years.

Excellent value for money, you need an order for £25 really to get free delivery otherwise a fiver is not viable. A great file handle for just over a pound you can't go far wrong. Other makes are available at up to £5-7 but I can't see the point (no pun intended)

This is very good value for money. The only reason I gave it four stars is that the hole is too small if you use it for rocking horse. I ended up drilling the hole to.make it bigger to fit children's rocking horse.

Bought to use as a handle for one of my saw blade sharpening files as I don't have nor want a lathe. Have bought quite a few of these Faithful handles now for various blade sharpening and other slim tang files that I have that make using them a much easier and vastly more enjoyable experience with a nice handle and these Faithful models fit the bill perfectly. Handles fit well in the hand even into my gorilla size shovel hands and have been well turned / made and finished well too as there is no rough spots or blemishes. As I say already own 4 or 5 of these handles and will definitely be buying more in the future and it's nice to support a British owned company too that Faithful is rather than some Chinese tool factory.

It's well made, it could do with some boiled linseed protection. It's the middlemen as always that use their limited knowledge to cause delay and frowns, bought a saw file 'Bahco 4-187-04-2-0 Extra Slim Taper Sawfile 4" ' and there beside it on the listing was a handle 4" That they meant a coventional file, not a needle file type shank, so its 'Loose' , fill with hot glue, tape, rolled paper or get a proper needle file handle. Don't let idiots steer your thinking..... (and what is Quote: 1-5 star for Sheerness ! ! - - for a handle ? )

This turned out to be a very expensive handle. I purchased 4 but only received 1. Tried to sort it with support but charged again as I do not have the 3 missing to return.

Bought these to replace the thin and poor quality plastic handles that were fitted to some low cost files and rasps I purchased many years ago. Apart from enlarging the predrilled hole slightly, there were no issues fitting them. I didn't have any clear varnish, so I used some water based antique pin wood stain to wipe over the wooden handle. The old files and rasps now look like new and a lot more comfortable to use.

Needed a new handle for file blade. Smaller than I thought but it fitted ok.
