Don't buy!!
Horrible. Barely works, rusted inside when it hasn't been near water, light flickers off more than on and when I changed the batteries, went dim.

Worked great !
Worked great for us ! Bought this item for my 9yr old who is just starting to raise his own chickens. We are on day 6 of our eggs in an incubator & we were just able to check our eggs with ease. Flashlight worked great and he thought it was super neat to see inside 😊 Would recommend !

Works on some eggs.
Worked for thin white egg shells but is not bright enough for dark eggs or eggs with thick shells. Duck egg and turkey egg are too thick walled for this to work but if you have white or teal eggs, this should work fine. Wish it was better quality or had a rubber cone for the egg to sit on the light. If any light is exposed, it is harder to see into the egg.

I'm returning this item.
I'm returning it. I can't get it open to even put the batteries in. Not worth $2 never mind $10!

Hmmmm
Missing the part of it. lampshade, batteries that came with it dont work and one of them looks corroded, I put my own batteries in it and it works and seem bright.

Compact and battery operated
My incubator has a candler in top, but it’s not really clear so I purchased this one. See video and pic. The directions are sparse and you may need more information. I tried it this morning and it’s definitely more clear than the incubator one. I am please so far with the purchase.

Gotta have it.
I have my own chickens, so I don't worry about egg prices. If you raise your own eggs, you definitely need to candle them before you give them away.
