If you are an anxious parentent look no further than this little masterpiece. Hal Leonard is a genius. She deserves more than 5 stars. The very basic guide that came with the instrument is not at all helpful and many of the tutors available are aimed at children. This really does tell you all you will ever need to know in a highly accessible and user-friendly format. I’m really pleased with it - all I need to do now, is practise!

Extremely useful
When I bought my ocarina, a reviewer mentioned this book and I’m so grateful to her, as it is excellent. The very basic guide that came with the instrument is not at all helpful and many of the tutors available are aimed at children. This really does tell you all you will ever need to know in a highly accessible and user-friendly format. I’m really pleased with it - all I need to do now, is practise!

Excellent introduction to ocarina.
Excellent book. Had me reading music and playing simple tunes in no time. Well written and easy to follow and with access to some very helpful online videos.

Great fromm first page to last
A great intro to the ocarina and Chris has instrument recommendations on her site which makes getting started even easier. The downloadable video files are excellent. There don't seem to be many ocarina tutor books out there but that doesn't matter as I am sure this is going to be number one for a long time to come.

This is a great book..you will learn from it if you are prepared to put the time in and reading music is well worth the efort

Perfect for absolute beginners!
I bought this book after I purchased my very first Ocarina here in Amazon. This book is great for absolute beginner like myself, this was highly recommended on any Ocarina reviewer. The downloadable tutorial videos are excellent too!
