Why did you pick this product vs others?: Work great but I would never recommend driving with this around on a forklift without a strap around the bottom when the momentum rips the steel plate off the magnet. So far what I noticed is that it holds great with thicker steel like 1/4 and 3/8 sheets. Anything thinner is sketchy.

This Vevor magnet is great for moving metal around the shop. It has a double action safety locking handle so it won’t disengage. That’s a 4’x4’x5/8” carbon plate in the pic. It’s like having extra help around. I’m very satisfied with my Vevor magnet. 👍

I use this magnet hooked up to an engine crane. I pick up 1/8" to 1/2" 4x4 plate for my plasma table with ease. If you're going to use thinner material you're going to want to get two of these on an I-beam system because materials is going to bend bowflex and it will break the bond of the magnet

This is a good heavy duty magnet, but is doesn’t work well for thin sheet metal, it pulls off easily. How ever with heavier metal 1/8” or thicker, you can’t pull it off. I purchased it to put up a Quanset hut, and it was not able to stay on the thin metal.

Good magnet but if metal bend it will come off. I was picking 14ga and when the end dropped it released. But it's strong and works well

My husband purchased magnet lifter to use at his shop. He is a welder/fabricator.

The on/off positions are swapped, making it useless since it locks in off position and not in on position making it dangerous as the handle snaps to off while lifting

Works great, it could be more durable my guys can be rough on them. Great for the price.

I stick these onto the side of ships and tie our work boat to them. Allows me to tie up anywhere to preform various jobs and repairs. They have no problem holding us in position even when there is wind and waves. These work well.

Well packaged, easy to put together. The bottom plate was a little rough, could have been dressed up for flatness, but a file will take care of this. Overall I am happy with the purchase. looking forward to trying it on some 1/2" plate I have bought several VEVOR products non of them have been a disappointment.

Looking at ways of streamlining some repairs. Thought about how to make hammering out customer damage a one man job. Bought this Vevor 400kg lifting magnet and wow… it holds quite well on 14ga steel. Was able to use it as a dolly for hammering the dents out. Had to use some heat to Finnish it off but the bulk was done with a normal body hammer and the magnet. Love it 😍 will be buying another of the same size and a bigger one to experiment with flattening out dents in aluminum slopes. Will post when tested. Great job Vevor!
