Deceptive spec, never reached HD despite my setting everything as required
Yet another disappointing dongle for Miracast. I am no neophyte when it comes to getting accessories to work on PCs. This product simply does not perform as specified, period. It could not reach HD resolution and I did everything correctly. I ended up snapping it in two and tossing it down the garbage chute of my apartment building. Waste of time, money, and nerves on a product that simply does not work as advertised. Buyer beware.

Horrible. Much struggling. Finally got unit to play sound. And it would mirror my iPhone until any type of video was played. My own, Amazon, Netflix etc. Save your money and headaches and get something else.Update; was contacted by vendor who offered to replace the unit for my re-evaluation if the unit. I will update my rating and review when I have done so.Update 2. Product does not work for video still. I am sorry but I cannot change my rating.

Ok...so here’s the real deal.This thing plugs into any hdmi port you have open and connects to your at home (not provided) Wi-Fi. It does that by giving you a choice of the Wi-Fi signals around like your phone would - you pick the right one - then put your secure Wi-Fi password in.That it then shows on the screen for the remainder of its life.Good luck keeping the kids off it - and I mean your Wi-Fi, not the casting.I am able to cast my screen from my iPhone. No problem...but it never was. Got this for my GF with an android and....we got it to work.Fair enough. Seemed like it took 4 hours at the DMV.One thing that does bug me a lot is that if you want to cast you can’t just change the TV input, you have to get up and press the tiny button on the dongle to make it aware that you are trying to use it. I don’t mention that because I’m lazy - I mention it because it would be nice to have the device recognize that I’m trying to cast.I can run around the block for free cable if that’s a thing.Could be me....(an IT guy)Could be the instructions are in ChinEnglish.It’s a loophole device that does work.

connects easily but gives shuttering image even when the laptop is right next to the adapter. I opted to just use a wire connection instead
