Great for adding 2.5GbE to computer
Easy install into a Dell Optiplex I converted into NAS. No compatibility issues. Good value

Exactly what I needed
I purchased this NIC to bypass my motherboard’s integrated Realtek controller that was forcing my computer to be limited to 100mb/s network speeds. This NIC was very easy to install, and I was immediately able to see an improvement in speed as it auto negotiated true gigabit speeds with my switch. My ping dropped from 7 to 1ms, and streaming videos no longer freeze temporarily. Delivery was fast, and the contents were well protected. A great value for the money for the performance of this NIC.

Easy to install and load drivers.
DIED after two weeks. During its brief life it worked great. Guess I'll be spending a little extra money on something better. We had a lightning storm. I checked my computer devices to see if anything was damaged. Everything runs through an APC ups circuit protector. Everything is fine, however now the Network Adapter is working. Two weeks so far. I'll let you know if that changes. Spooky.

No detection issue
I've installed and uninstalled Intel Ethernet Adapter drivers v26.4 and v29.2 to no avail. I've even installed the Intel PROset software and couldn't detect the NIC. Item was DOA. It's my fault ultimately for not returning it within the original return period because I didn't test it initially (bought item originally for somebody who didn't need it anymore basically), but I wasn't expecting a non-working item either. I'm also not the only one who's experienced this based on some past reviews. This is my warning to everybody else now.

Plug and play Intel I225 based NIC
I recently made the jump to 2.5G and I upgraded most of the PCs in my house with these I225 based cards. They come with a normal PCI-E bracket as well as the low profile bracket for SFF PCs. It was plug and play for Windows 11, Linux, and FreeBSD.

Easy setup and fast.
My onboard network quit working. Used a x4 slot and it works perfect. Now I have 2 ports which my Synology uses. Easy setup and fast.

Dual Port NIC w/Intel 82576 Chipset
I tossed this NIC into an older Dell and built a pfSense (FreeBSD fork) firewall (IDS/IPS, domain blocking). This NIC functions well for this task and it was inexpensive to boot! It's a SFF Dell that found new life as the best firewall my SB client has ever owned. It's cheap, compatible and functions well. Pros: price, functionality, compatibility Cons: non existent for me at this time

Economical way to add 2.5Gbit support
Card installed and recognized by Windows 10, no special drivers necessary. System is also used for VMware work, ESXi 7 requires installing the Net-Community-Driver, current version is 1.2.7.0. Once that is installed, card is available for use and vMotion migrations are considerably faster than over a 1Gbit network.

This item works well in the SFF computer it is fitted to. I had to change over from the full height bracket to the low profile bracket (supplied in the box). The 2 screws holding on the bracket are an unusual head and do not fit a Philips or torx, etc. A small “screwdriver” is supplied but it has a very narrow handle and if a screw was stuck/tight, you would have a problem changing the bracket.
