While a cool looking marker and the idea seems interesting, this is mostly just a novelty item. If you’re actually looking for a ball marker, go with a different option. This thing is thicker than any coins you can have in your pocket, and any other marker I’ve used in the past. Would not be effective on the ground if another ball tried moving over it. For the use of determining break on the green, also minimally effective. It was purchased as a marker with the idea the level would be a funny characteristic among friends. Don’t get this to rely on the level, and for use as a marker, 2/10. Otherwise it’s a great quality item built very sturdy. The comparison photos are next to a nickel, which is a fairly thick coin.

The bubble reads the same basic slope no matter where you place. Put it down and find uphill, then spin it around and the bubble don’t move. It seems like the glass dome that houses the bubble level portion is not made well.

I get a lot of use from this gadget when practicing break putts in the office. It works well on carpet as I saw drastic improvement on my putts.

This will only tell you the lie of the land on the exact spot of the green where you place the marker. You would need to place the marker on every single undulation on the line of the put to get a reasonable idea of the breaks. Unless you have time to do that without getting abused by your playing partners forget it.
