Change the tip first!
This ships with the pointed tip installed. As pointed out elsewhere, using that incorrectly will make microscopic holes in the tooth enamel. Swap that with the flat tip, first. Do not overtighten the tip onto the shaft. Tips unscrew just like an ordinary threaded shaft and nut. The wrench in the little box and the flat tip are your friend. Charge the unit, then use it on max power.Uncle Harry's Tooth Elixer is a potent blend of essential oils. It used to be straight essential oils, then they changed the formulation to add an emulsifier and now call it Remineralizer. Clove, eucalyptus, peppermint, wintergreen & oregano. It's a powerful local anesthetic. Using a few drops in your pets mouth, will reduce or eliminate any sensitivity.Brushing first with ACV, loosens the tartar build-up. Done for several days, in advance, will make it easier to eventually remove heavy build-up.Be patient, with practice you will see the flat tip work. I think the tendancy is to attack heavy tartar with the pointed tip, but the flat tip's ultrasonic pulsations *will* crush up and loosen the tartar, when given several seconds of work.Other: The printed included instructions are in goofy chinglish. The unit ships complete, with picks, mirrors, everything you see. I would suggest getting some oxy gel for brushing the animal's teeth with.
