What a great knife
I normally don't write reviews. But I had to about this knife. It has to be the best knife I've had. It's strong and light enough to not pull down your pants.I carry it everyday and abuse without worry of it breaking.Easy load button. Simple open lock button makes it easy to open and close one handed. Even after having the knife since October 2024. The paint still looks like I got it yesterday. The knife is still not loosen up. I haven't had to retighten the screws. No sloppy play with thus knife after 5 months. If you are looking for a cheap durable pocket knife for everyday use. This is the knife for you. You won't be disappointed.

I use a razor knife daily for work, so far its one of my favorites, the clip on the knife comes in handy, ease of use, seems very durable.

The Best!
This is far and away the best large size utility knife. It's super well built, easy to deploy the blade with the button, as fast as an auto, and very easy to change the blades. It's not something that you would want as an EDC to carry in your pocket but if you worked a job where you had to carry a utility knife on a belt this is the one. Highly recommended.

Would've been an enthusiastic 5-star rating if not for one thing!
Not saying I'm an expert, but as far as my relevant experience goes, I'm an off-grid home builder and a knife enthusiast. I carry a knife of some kind ALL the time and find myself using one multiple times a day. When building, I've grown to love a replaceable razorblade knife - it keeps me from having to sharpen a folder or fixed blade every other day or so, using a whetstone or Lansky-type system. This particular knife is well-built overall and has a pretty cool aesthetic to it. It has a bunch of great features: skeletonized handle to reduce weight and increase 'grabability' when hands are wet, greasy, or bloody, an index finger indent, push-style blade replacement button (as opposed to a 'flip-top'), the built-in carabiner for additional quick attachment options, and an easy-to-use and fairly robust locking mechanism. The ONLY thing I can criticize on this knife is that I wish it had something like a thumb stud, hole, or indent for easier one-handed opening. As it is, the knife will flick open, but right out of the box the pivot screw is still pretty tight, and it takes quite an exaggerated snap of the wrist to get that blade to flick open. Even if the maker reversed the protruding jimping to the other side (the same side as the push-buttons), that would fix the issue. Anyway, it's not a deal-breaker. As far as the higher price when compared with other razor knives, well I've used a lot of other makes and styles of razor knife, and IMHO the quality of build and materials in this knife (stainless steel on the razorblade housing, and what seems to be anodized aluminum on the handle) are well worth what I paid for it. I've never bought a Hautmec product before, but if you're familiar with brands like Cold Steel, CRKT, SpyderCo, Dewalt, Milwaukee, etc. you shouldn't be disappointed in this little $20 utility knife. I'm not!update 7/8/2024Well, shoot.... it fell apart! The pivot is a screw/ferule-type thing, and the screw fell out somewhere and now my knife is in pieces. I don't know, I'm torn... may get another one and locktite it before use, or look for something else that looks and performs similarly. And I gotta reinforce that it would really be nice to have a thumbstud - it's been a pain to open for 8 months (not a problem if you're a lefty, tho!)update 7/9/2024Attention Hautmec company: I bought Fiskar's foldable razor knife instead of re-buying yours. The thumbstud issue clinched it - fix that, and I'm back in! See Fiskar's page for upcoming reveiw....
