Messy Layout
The book is written by two authors, which have two different views on the process. Each chapter is divided between authors, and if you take into account the page layout in columns, it is difficult to follow, it is like mosaic. Many projects are done using wool dyeing, so if you are not practicing it, you have have less projects to do, especially if you need a scarf and not just strange neck decoration :) I would make 2-3 project out of 20 announced.Book price is above average for 30% and it is not worth it.

Felted scarves taught by professional felt artists.
This book is more sophisticated than other books on felting that I have come across. The authors are professional felters and have been working in felt and teaching workshops for many years. So the projects are well thought out and sound. I made many stunning scarves following only this book. Not super easy.

Nice projects, low price
I like a lot the projects, but because I am a newbie I was a bit intimidated by the process. Lots of photos of the process and of finished pieces, including a gallery. Some items are conservative, while others go from modern all the way to the "I wouldn't be caught dead in it" category. Lots of the garments are shown on models so you can see the drape and length.

Felting With Art Superstars
This remains one of the best resources for learning wet felt technique. Chad Alice and Jorie are fiber goddesses!

Looking forward to using this book
Very nicely outlined, illustrated, and detailed with a lot of variety. This will be my go-to book, I think. Although there's a lot on the internet, it's always great to have a book in front of you to help you learn a new process and refer to when your (my) sloppy discs don't remember step 4 or 5. Love it.

Informative with excellent pictures
This book is well written with excellent pictures, advice, instructions, and innovative ideas. It covers many things, such as dying that other books don't have. My problem with the book is that I really didn't find any scarves that I would like to make. That is my taste however and others will probably find some that they like. Worthwhile to have in your library. I am the wife of the account owner.

not just scarves
This is a showcase for two wonderful felters. They chose scarves to demonstrate different techniques, but you can adapt those ideas for any felt item. There were several examples of different kinds of braid, some 3D effects introducing pebbles into the felt and removing them after it has dried in that shape. There is a good range of styles from the subtle to the wild side. My only caveat is that it really is two books each written by one of the team. So there is a slight element of instructional repetition. It is very inspiring to look at the galleries, and get even more ideas for your next piece of felt art.

beautifully put together book
As a relative newcomer to felting I was a bit uncertain about this book as I was unable to look through it first which is something I really like to do. I read over the other reviews and decided to take a chance. Well, I am glad I did. There are lots and lots of great ideas with what seem to be very clear instructions in how to achieve a good finished item. Some of the scarves are quite 'way-out' but even if you don't want to make an exact copy of the item, the instructions give you good guidance on the various techniques to adapt to your own taste which is exactly what I wanted. One reviewer suggested that the designs were too 'American' but I actually didn't think so - they are very comptemporary designs and can, I think, be adapted to suit all tastes - its the techniques that are important with the pretty pictures (and there are plenty of those) to inspire you. People who enjoy felting, it seems to me, must be the sort of people who enjoy a bit of a surprise and I think this book gives good scope for experimenting. That said, it might be just MY felting that never seems to be quite what I had planned - so far the surprises have been good ones. At any rate, I think this book is excellent and I am planning to make a start in the next week on a couple of the simpler scarves and hopefully work my way up.

Slightly disappointed
The front cover enticed me to ask for this book for Christmas. There is one scarf design which I love, and a fair number of good tips, but there are a lot of revolting designs also. I didn't realise it would have such an American feel to it, which I do not like. This review is obviously a totally personal opinion. My tip to anyone buying this is to look inside first, it may be more to your taste than mine.

Fabulous feltings ideas
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and was inspired not just to make more scarves but to adapt the techniques for other felt creations - bags, wall hangings, curtains etc. Lots of good tips, I read it from cover to cover. Thank you, an excellent book

Great book
The book explains different ways of felting scarves. I expected the standard way of felting scarves and was surprised to see the many different ways. The book gave me a lot of inspiration and new ideas. But most of all the book gave me more knowledge about different ways of felting scarves. I just love this book. I keep looking in it and every time I am amazed what I see and read about felting scarves.

Originell

Comprehensive information.
Lots of helpful details so you can make similar items - creative, talented and interesting authors, super practitioners at their craft. Brilliant for anyone wanting to make felted scarves that are out of the ordinary, using lovely wools with silks, etc. included. Super pictures too.

Was Schönes zum Anschauen....

Average
I was looking forward to read this book but although the explanations are quite clear, I found the projects horrendous! This is obviously just my taste but what about something a bit modern (but not too futuristic) and wearable?
