I like the results this product gives. The shine lasts a few weeks, depending on the weather and roads. If you use a good applicator it’s easy to apply. It is messy and will soak into sponge applicators so I wear gloves when using it. It smells nice, which is a bonus.

This is an excellent product but you need to understand how it works before you make any assumptions about whether or not it will suit your needs. I am no chemist but the product itself seems to be a waxy blend of silicone(?) in some form of mild solvent. When you spray it onto a surface it leaves a thin film of a waxy substance which needs to dry for 1.5 hours or so before using the vehicle. The coating has two main properties. The first is that it is translucent, so the shiny silver of your wheels shows through. Secondly, it is non-sticky when dry. Furthermore the coating can be built up with repeated sprays... although I struggle to see why anyone would want to do this. It is not a permanent coating like a varnish or polyurethane product. Think of it as barrier cream for your wheels! Note It is NOT suitable for black wheels and the packaging carries a warning to this effect. Brake dust will still coat the wheels over time and with use, but the next time you clean your wheels with any kind of detergent you will remove a little of the Wheel Protector coating, together with the dirt. The finish of your wheels will remain undulled and easy to clean. In my case I have a few cars with rather nice, expensive wheels (17", 18"and 22" rims) which I like to keep factory-clean both inside and out. I have found that a single can gives me enough for at least 20 generous applications, in each case covering the inside as well as the outer surface of the alloy. Update: After 2,000 miles brake dust is not adhering to the surface of the wheel. It simply wipes off with a tissue or clean cloth

If you want your tyres glossy and black then look no further. Gives good coverage and seems to last a reasonable amount of time before reapplication needed. I think it represents value for money and is speedy to use. It even smells nice. One thing I would add is to buy yourself a pair of rubber gloves and keep them for applying the product because if it gets on your hands it takes a few washes to get that silicon feel off your skin.

I have yet to find a bad car product from Autoglym. This tire gel is no exception. It is not really a gel, but more like a viscous oil. Red in color, it lets itself be smeared onto the tire wall quite easily with a soft cloth or small sponge, like the washing-up variety. I applied some to my winter tires on the weekend and the result was an immediate, satin shine - nice. I will have to wait though to see how long the treatment lasts. Thumbs up from me.

Sono un appassionato di detailing e ho provato vari marchi anche più conosciuti e costosi e devo che questo nero gomme se la cava molto bene contro marchi ben più costosi. 1. Il prodotto è molto facile da usare e si stende con facilità. 2. Non se ne usa molto per un set di ruote e credo mi durerà molto prima che dovrò ricomprarlo. 3. L'aspetto è molto bello ed è una via di mezzo tra lucido e satinato. 4. La durata sullo pneumatico mi ha sorpreso. Riesce a resistere a vari lavaggi oppure vari giorni di pioggia prima di svanire completamente. 5 stelle meritate considerato il costo e le prestazioni da vero Pro.
