Smelled right, fresh not musty. The chickens communicated to me that they approved and found it tasty. At this price it rivals the feed store.....without a trip across town! Now that they have discovered, like the dog has, that food comes in delivered packages.....the delivery person has a lot of....friends. Between the dog and the rooster, I will never miss another delivery out in the yard!

My girls have been eating this food for years. They like it best from all the kinds I have tried (not the pellets-- crumbles only, they said). They each lay 1 egg per day. I always add calcium supplement (powder) to the food because I am anxious after having a couple egg-bound hens over the years.....I never lost a girl but I just know it was because I fed them too many treats and not enough calcium!! I vowed to never let it happen again so as a safeguard I just add powdered calcium to every bag of food as I dump the bags into the big bin. It would be great if there were bigger bags-- the little bags are easy to carry down to the girls and they also ship fast/arrive quickly but I think the price is really high (as compared to other organic layer crumbles) and the bags are very small by comparison (unfortunately). SO: When I am being organized, I mix this food that they prefer with an equally nutritious LARGE bag of organic layer crumbles (adding powdered calcium, of course). But if I am busy or disorganized, I end up spending too much $$ and just buying lots of bags of this food because (a) it arrives SUPER fast and (b) my girls love it.

Amazing food that my chickens love! No mold or issues with the food!

The min my new laying hens started to lay I bought this. I mixed it in with their current feed. They ate it up and noticed after a week they frequency of laying was more. When it came time to buy more feed of layer I added the omega additive for this brand. Omg the quality of the eggs is so good. We have store bought eggs and fresh laid eggs. The difference in taste and looks of the yolk is rich! I will continue to buy mana pro feed for my hens!

I bought this as an edition for my dry chow worm feed. Some people who want this for their chickens may not be that happy since not all of it is in pebble form some already powder form, but this is great for what I wanted it for. I grind this down and mix it in with my other dry food , worms are loving the mix. Before that I had purchased some scratch grains which would be better for your chickens but not what I wanted. The scratch grains had corn in it which wouldnt grind down for me.

I have been feeding it and purchasing it from here for over 2 years now. I have a rescue bantam chicken that is extremely imprinted and dear to me. I have done a ton of research on feed and this always comes up as #1. Her annual bloodwork at the vet always comes back perfect. Nutrition is essential, literally number 1 as it pertains to the health and longevity of your chicken and these guys are always rated best in the market, I appreciate that.

DON’T BUY , DAMAGED PRODUCT My chickens suffered from this product it caused issues like rotten stomach and endless vet visits. The seller is not cooperative , doesn’t want to give a refund and wasted my time.
