To maximize success on trophy bass, stripers, musky, salmon and a host of inshore species, it takes strength, line capacity and a powerful drag system. Anglers will receive it all in the Komodo 350. The Komodo 350 holds a line capacity of 230 yards of 14-pounds. For comparison current entries in the market hold just 190-yards of 14-pound. Maximizing the opportunity provided by substantial line capacity is a Carbonite and stainless drag system that outputs 25-pounds of maximum drag. Again, current entries in the market output just 15 and 22 pounds. The Komodo's main gear, pinion gear and drive shaft are constructed from stainless steel for incredible strength. Komodo's frame, spool and handle side plate's are all aluminum for additional strength and long term alignment of internal parts.

Super smooth running reel with tons of drag power
Only reason for not giving this reel 5 stars is I haven't ran it for a whole season yet. Burning throwing double 10s and pounders with ease. Super smooth running reel with tons of drag power.

i'm glad i pulled the trigger on this reel
I had doubts buying this reel. Okuma had an image of mediocre or low quality products in my mind. Especially compared to the reels and rods from Daiwa and Shimano. Yet it had the most impressive specs on the paper compared to the competition. But i decided to take a risk.Well, i'm glad i pulled the trigger on this reel. For the price, it is unreal. The feel, the smoothness, the quality of build is top notch. Drag is unreal and smooth. Only competitor would be daiwa lexa but this is by far my favourite reel at the moment.I have big hands and this reel fits like a glove fitted on an Abu Garcia Veritas rod. It's big compared to other baitcasters but it's only understandable that this is a reel build for big fish. Everything inside the reel is stainless steel and not brass like the competitors. Makes it perfect for saltwater fishing.Clicking drag and spool tension knob is great. Bait clicker is a bonus feature. None of the other reels have that feature.Only downsides would be the inconvenience of opening the sideplate to adjust the casting drag. It's easy enough though. And i felt a tiny bit of backplay on the handle. Neither of these are deal breakers for me though.I never expected a product like this would come from Okuma at this price range. Definitely worth the money and would recommend to anyone looking for a high quality baitcaster for big fish.

Everything I expected, I thought it was 11 bearing but it's nine bearing. It seems real pretty smooth I put some line on it and haven't used it yet.

An Absolute Must For Musky!
Awesome musky reel. This reel is so smooth, and has all the drag you would ever need. Alot of my buddies who musky fish only use Abu reels, and I myself love Abu reels. However I saw this reel on display at Rollie and Helens's Musky Shop in Wisconsin and was utterly impressed. I bought one for a trial on my favorite musky rod, and let's just say I am now a believer. Okuma knocked this out of the park. I now have a bunch of friends who musky fish quite regularly who have only ever had Abu reels that have now purchased one of these. Seriously, do yourself a favor and give one of these things a try. Once you get used to the drag system, you will never want another musky reel. Also, if you have a setup where you throw the "big" baits, this reel with the power handle on a heavy or x-heavy rod is a must. This throws my "big" Bulldogs with ease.

Great drag, casts well
Bought for Muskie based on recommendations from a couple guys I fish with. Tossed some 8oz chaos medussas for a day and had no problems. Great drag, casts well, very impressed.

Drag does not function!
There must be a part missing from this reel. There is no functioning drag - no matter how tight you tighten the drag you get about 2 pounds of drag resistance.

This is my current favorite in my arsenal of reels
This is my current favorite in my arsenal of reels. Good fighting power, casts smooth, and the power handle is quite comfortable. I've caught bass, yellowtail, bonito, barracuda, and several other species with no problem. I'll probably get another.

Good Middle of the class
Good middle of the class reel for Muskie fishing. Would be a very good 1st upgrade or purchase for a new angler because it has a clicker on it so you could use it for trolling also.
