Digital dial gauge, made to metric specs, not AGD specs -
while it reads in inches or mm, this gauge is made to metric sizing specs. metric means 8mm stem diameter and M2.5 dial point thread. more common in the US are AGD gauges are made with USCS specs. 3/8" stem and 4-48NF dial point thread. The gauge works fine but you should be aware if you are using it with other stuff.

Very nice indicator.
This indicator works great. I use it to measure deflections in a strength and stiffness test machine I built for testing FDM printed plastic parts. It is easy to read and the controls work well.

Low Battery Indicator is a Flashing Display
Built an arrow spine tester/arrow straightness tolerance tester with this digital indicator and it does what is suppose to do. There is no low battery indicator other than a flashing display. My display started flashing consistently after 21 seconds. A bit confusing because I thought it was some sort of idle indicator, but when I replaced the batteries the display stopped flashing and all works fine.

Was looking for something cheap to detect a variance (warpage) in a machined part.

Good quality indicator, bright, easy to read.
I have a "HF" piece of junk that looks similar, but is very dim and hard to read. These are replacing it and also for tramming my mill. The digits are easy to read with great contrast and nice, large, dense digits. It has a digital port in case I ever wanted to use that. It uses an LR44 button battery which is a bit of a let down. I would like to have it use a CR2032 or similar, but I'll live with the LR44. The battery is easy to replace, just pull the battery carrier straight out. The units come with a smooth plastic back and a replacement metal back with mounting lug. I replaced the smooth plastic back with the metal one and threw the plastic ones away. Even if I don't use them with a holder, I'd rather have a metal back.

Nice dial indicator works nice so accurately that it is hard to press the rest button without changing the measurement

Can't beat it for the price
I think it works very well for the price,it seems to repeat accurately, I've used it 30-50 times and I'm happy so far, I glad I bought it 😊
