Health Gear ITM7.0-S Patented Deep Tissue Shiatsu Heat & Massage Inversion Table - Heavy Duty up to 300 lbs.

OMG!!!! Incredible! Having strained my back (so I thought), back in July 2017 and having excruciating pain in my upper left buttock cheek just from walking, I refused to see a Dr. for fearing the worst. I thought it will heal. It will go away. Not! Went on vacation in August where there was a lot of walking and almost died from the pain. Could only walk 50 ft and had to stop to bend over, sit or kneel for a few minutes then could go another 50 ft. Came back from vacation and started a chiropractor right away. Went faithfully 3 times a week from August to November. Finally, when I had enough and it was almost bringing me to tears from the pain and frustration of not being able to do anything, I called a pain management Dr and in December I got my first shot after the MRI showed a disc with and appendage like form on it. First shot? Nothing! Notta! No. It didn't work. Early January He suggested a 2nd shot, which I did. Nope. That one didn't work either. He suggested cauterization. I said no. It got this way without any injury. It has to be able to be reversed! Looked into inversion tables and was skeptical till one night the wife was watching a shopping channel and yelled "for me to watch this. It may help you". I said "that's funny I was just looking at those". I went on Amazon and found what they were offering but being of engineering education, I could say they were made to enhance their bottom line, Not my safety! Then I found this Healthgear ITM7 and analyzed it over and over. It looked sturdy. A bit pricey, but well built. Being turned upside down, I want safety and the feeling of security, not just price. I ordered it, paying $100.00 or more than most of the tables out there. Could not wait to get it! Actually stayed home from work the day it was supposed to arrive, just to put it together. Arrived by PRIME in 2 days as promised. Took about 1 hr to put together. I'm a little picky when assembling things. I want it right and tight! Took my time. Back was screaming, but only from the activity of ups and downs and leaning to get parts. Went together easily. Got on and ran massager. Caution: massager is very harsh. You need a pad over the knobs that protrude or it will make you sore to the touch for days. (call the company if you don't get a pad. They are aware of it and are making an effort to include a pad from now on. They sent me one.) After 3 minutes on the table that nite I was sore, but when I got off, My wife and son said "OMG" YOUR WALKING STRAIGHT! I said "that's weird cause something feels different too". Immediately both wanted to try it. My wife was astounded to see my son's back and posture was suddenly straight as a board! Hers felt better almost immediately. And she has had back issues similar to mine but not long lasting. Next day I could tell the difference already. There was pain but it morphed into, just pain. Manageable pain. Pain you can at least deal with. Not like the feeling of having a ice cold railroad spike implanted in my butt cheek anymore causing extreme cramp like feeling! Waited a few days for the soreness of the massager to go away and tried to figure a way to still use it. Used a folded towel temporarily and got back on. OMG! My back is getting better. My wife again said OMG! "YOUR NOT JUST WALKING STRAIGHTER, YOUR NOT DRAGGING AND SCUFFING YOUR FEET EITHER!!!! That's when I called the company about a pad and I'm keeping this thing and they shipped one from Az to Pa. in 4 days! Been using for a week now and I actually walked around my property of about a half acre, in the snow, on uneven grass and NO PAIN!!!!!!! Oh......... it has it's times. But very, very few. And duration is nothing, anymore! I would expect to be completely pain free in about a month! And nobody, and I mean NOBODY will ever take this machine from me! It's mine! Thank you HEALTHGEAR for building a sturdy and quality table!

THE GOOD: I am about 220 pounds and have no worries hanging upside down on this thing. It is built very sturdy and does exactly what it's supposed to do. When aligned properly, the massage feature feels amazing.THE BAD: I'm 5'6' and have to set the device at about 5'3' to appropriately use the inversion feature, but it needs to be set at 5'9' in order for the massage to line up with my back properly! Therefore the massage feature is on my butt and mid-back as opposed to lower back and neck... making it very uncomfortable to use both features at the same time.I found a work-around that includes attaching some workout bands to the headrest and rear leg, effectively adding more upper-body weight (not suggested) to allow me to lay horizontally and use the massage feature - and it feels AMAZING. If the massage mechanism had an adjustable height, I may have given 5 stars.OTHER THOUGHTS: I had to chuckle when I read a review of a different table when they complained that it weighed too much for someone that has a bad back. This one weighs 70 pounds, which is heavy, but I wouldn't trust hanging my body upside down on something that's not as sturdy and weighs less.I consider myself a "tool guy" and it only took about 45 minutes from delivery to full assembly, but that includes wasting 10 minutes looking for the bag of screws that didn't exist!... all of the screws are actually already installed and you need to remove them before putting them back in (maybe this will save someone else a few minutes of searching for something that isn't there)

Easy to put together (nuts & bolts already in place to no guessing where they go) and super sturdy. The massage was what I looked forward to, but it is non-adjusting and lined up in ways that made inversion painful & awkward. My 5'5" height was not a good fit; someone taller 5'9" or more who enjoys deep tissue would appreciate this device.

A great product generally, but designed for short people. The massage elements don't cover the whole back, and sit really low. Yes, I can adjust to be lower, but then I am not balanced to be able to tilt back. The massage elements are also uncomfortable when not being used. The heat is almost non-existent.

very difficult to get on, to turn over & to use. Must have help there during the whole process. The table part does not fit my body or massage in the area I need it. It massages my buttox more than my back. We have adjusted & adjusted as much as possible....still not working for me. I can get on, not tighten support around my feet, bend my knees so it will massage my back in the right area, not turn over to any degree. I cannot recommend this for anyone.

Massager is rough on lower back ....unzipped cover and placed some of the packing styrofoam (approximately 1.5" thick) below massager. Very comfortable now. Zipper tab is on the inside thus a little difficult to unzip.

After many attempts to balance it I couldn't get it to work properly. It would slam back hard even when you got past the point of level at a slow pace. The Shiatsu massage portion was very painful due to the lack of padding. It only has i layer of thin fabric. When I used it in less than level position, it badly bruised my back.I ended up buying the Tweeter brand and was able to balance and work it properly the first day. The only positive with the HealthGear product was that I was able to return it. I hope it is re-designed with a easier balancing, softer massage balls, or at least some padding. Now the only way you can get a comfortable massage is if you just lightly lean against it. I hope others have better results.

Is big & solid but I only give this table 3 stars because the shiatsu massage deep is no adjustable or padded hurts my back.
