Marantz PM6006 Integrated Stereo Amplifier - UK Edition - Silver

I’m no hifi nut. I just like good gear at a price that’s not in the addict stratosphere. 5s are extraordinary scores only and this is close. 4s all round mean to me this is a really good piece of kit. As an amp the reviews and “what hifi” state, say more than I can from my less educated ear. I run good old fashioned floor standing Missions (circa 1987)on this amp and they sound great. The only advice of any note I feel I can give is this... If you’re looking for an AV system you’ll pay more and get less. This marantz has a coaxial port, from the tv into this (cable from amazon for 20 bucks) the sound is fantastic. You can buy an AV receiver for much more and the sound won’t be anywhere near as good. If playing all formats well; vinyl, cd, wav etc. amp over receiver every time and for under 400 smackers this marantz UK Edition (little tech upgrades) is stunning. Buy with confidence, listen happy. Unless you are used to your system costing a few grand but want more than music through a Bluetooth speaker this will make you happy.

Bought to replace Technics SU-Z2, which eventually gave up (it was over 40, so no disgrace), this Marantz amp is a very good substitute with added digital inputs and "Sound Direct" which bypasses the pre-amp section. Sound is, to my ears, very pleasantly warm and clear. Simple controls and a remote!, what's not to like?

I got this a week after replacing my Marantz CD player. In many magazine reviews as a best buy for the price - I totally agree. I should not have dithered. Both sound wonderful together and with my Wharfedale speakers - just great sound. Best to get player and amp from the same company and range - will have been tested and calibrated to go. Very pleased with both.

The amplifier is perfect. The remote control is not good. It seems like this remote not exactly for this unit. There are lack of important features for example switch A - B speakers, Loudness etc.

Do not buy if you plan on using the internal DAC or phono stage. This amp suffers from a significant buzzing when theDAC or phono stage is in use (probably insufficient shielding). If you supply it from another device via the phono inputs then it mitigates the issue.

So far so good. I love the sound of this amplifier. I have it is connected to a pair of Q acoustics 2030i speakers a perfect match for me. This is not my main system but very happy with the tight bass and great sound stage, treble is sweet and not harsh great value for the money. I stream FLAC files to amp via optical input.

A good quality, lower end amp, not superseded by the 6007. The only major advantage I can see with the new model is the ability to use a sub-woofer, but if that isn't too important to you and you can get the old model on a deal I'd still go with it. Pretty good connectivity with std. RCA as well as 2 optical and one digital cable. The general sound is excellent with my only gripe being the volume adjustment is imprecise, sometimes requiring you to use the loudness on/off button in conjunction with the volume control.

Bought on the recommendation of a mate and it doesn't disappoint 🎶✌️

Questo amplificatore è veramente ottimo, costruzione, solidità, rapporto qualità/prezzo, sicuramente imbattibile sotto qualsiasi punto di vista. Provato con le mie B&W Matrix seconda serie, 87 db di sensibilità, molto ostiche e difficili da pilotare. Il pm6006, ha superato con mio stupore la prova ascolto. Confronto con pre e finale Yamaha CX/MX 1000, lettore marantz HD-CD1. (Naturalmente molto vintage, tranne il lettore). PM6006 suono molto caldo e armonioso mai stancante o affaticante, direi grande qualità considerato i suoi 45 watt, che si sono rilevati sufficienti per la mia stanza d’ascolto non troppo grande. Punto negativo un leggero fruscio/ronzio dalle uscite digitali, e veramente quasi impercettibile anche dal lettore CD...

Compré este amplificador para sustituir un Harman Kardon (HK) antiguo (HK AVR 20II) que tenia. El HK era muy bueno, pero necesitaba algo que tiene entradas digitales. Pues el Marantz pm6006 suena mejor que el HK, y esto dice muchisimo! Lo tengo conectado a unos altavoces Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) 601-S2. Simplemente, el sonido está completo y lleno. La voz de Nat King Cole (L-O-V-E y Girl from Ipanema) no puede ser mejor. La guitara de Stevie Ray Vaugnan (Tin Pan Alley y Little Wing) parece que esta en la habitacion conmigo. Luego, Entre Dos Aguas de Paco De Lucia es simplemente delicioso! Todavia no lo he conectado a los B&W 602 que tengo, pero imagino que sonaría impresionante. No creo que habra nada asi que se acerca la calidad precio (me costó 370€). Puntos a favor: - el tamaño está bastante pequeño por los vatios y opciones que tiene. Bastante mas pequeño que el HK. - el interfaz del panel principal es facíl, simple, y elegante. No como muchos otros que son demasiados complicados. - el mando tambien es facil y simple. - ya he hablado sobre la calidad de sonido :) Puntos en contra: - no he encontrado ninguno todavia.

El amplificador suena muy bien ,el sonido es muy equilibrado ni muchos graves ni muchos agudos ,lo justo para que la música suene como tiene que sonar apreciando todos sus matices y que unas frecuencias no tapen a otras .Lo tengo conectado a unos jbl l110 y 4311 y suena de fábula ( evidentemente cada altavoz hace que suene un poco diferente ) . Tengo también un marantz 2270 y 2238 y se parece mucho al sonido de estos amplificadores bastante más antiguos ,el sonido no es estridente es dulce y cálido muy al sonido de marantz . He tenido otras marcas que sonaban bien pero me quedo con marantz ( será por que me ha acostumbrado a su sonido ). Si le conectamos como fuente de audio un mp3 o unos altavoces mediocres evidentemente no nos dará un buen sonido pero ni este ni ningún amplificador,todo tiene que estar en sintonía e igualdad de calidad en los componentes . Por 370€ no hay nada en el mercado igual a este amplificador (su precio real son 569€ en C. Inglés ,FNAC..) y además esta edición de Reino Unido es una mejora de la versión estándar ( transformador,capacitadores etc ..) que hace que suene un poquito mejor aun . Viene con enchufe Ingles con lo que hay comprar un adaptador . En definitiva si estas buscando un buen amplificador sin gastar mucho este es muy recomendable además de sonar muy bien la marca es especialista en audio de toda la vida y si puedes comprar la edición de Reino Unido mejor es un poco más renovada aunque la estándar es casi lo mismo .

Ottimo amplificatore pagato 100 euro in meno rispetto all versione standard .avevo già il cd 6006 sempre della marantz e insieme fanno una bella accoppiata con casse focal 726.il suono e quello marantz cioè medio alti abbastanza chiari e il basso in evidenza.veramente un ottimo acquisto la consegna è avvenuta come sempre puntuale,ottimo imballaggio .che dire a questo prezzo un ottimo affare.

Nunca había tenido nada de esta marca, pero me ha sorprendido la calidad y calidez del sonido. Creo que en relación calidad/precio no hay nada que lo supere, al menos entre todos los amplificadores de las distintas marcas que miré. Conecto mi Fiio X1 a un preamplificador a válvulas y el Marantz en ‘Direct source’ y el sonido es espectacular. Mi reproductor de cd es muy flojo y aún así suena de escándalo, eso si, tengo que ajustar graves y agudos para lograr lo que quiero, pero el problema es mi reproductor, el Marantz impecable.
