Dislike the brightness

I had bought a similar item a few weeks ago for a friend's housewarming and like them so I thought I would by a set for our home. The price was greatly reduced on these lights and I thought it was part of a Black Friday deal. The only similarity to these and the lights I bought for our friend is the general shape. The photos on Amazon look identical. When I unpacked the box I found these lights were not even half the size and height of those I had previously purchase. Even taking that difference into account I thought they still might work along our upper pathway and to bracket the bottom of the steps leading to the front door. Nothing could have been further from the truth. They are so short that don't project the light pattern more than a few inches from the light fixture. In addition to the short throw of the light beam, the light is so dim it would hardly attract a moth. I am leaving out tonight but boxing them back up and returning them tomorrow. Bottom line, if you are looking for something that will light your pathway and not hint that there may be light, then avoid these. You would do better to use the light on your mobile phone to guide your way. It will be much brighter than what you will get from these lights. UPDATE 27 Nov 2023: I have dropped this load of junk down to 1 star. They have been outside for less than a week and all 6 have stopped working completely. They have been demoted to tacky lawn ornaments and be doomed to the recycling bin. On the upside - I applied for a refund from Amazon and they immediately credited my account and sent a notification that I need not return the item. Clearly, Amazon recognizes what useless trash these lights are.

These are super easy to set up. Basically, nothing to do except turn the switch to 'on' and put them in the ground. I find that they only light up for a couple of hours but it could be they don't get enough hours of sunlight to last very long. But they look pretty and send out 'rays' of light that look very nice. I've moved them around since this photo was taken in order to get light in different parts of the yard, but you can see in the photo how really nice and bright they are!

I think the lights are great while wkng. I don't know if it's because of the intense heat while charging the batteries at this time as I make sure they have all day dun the 1sz night was great 3000 kelvin as stated an left at least an 18" diameter circle, but reading the instructions said to replace batteries with a 200 mi/ amp that doesn't even exist on Amazon after calling customer svc. An being on the phone for 30 min, we decided an sent me a link on the 650 mil/amp batteries an glad I ordered right away won't be here for 2 more days but tonight I only had light for about an hr. An now mostly no lights at all, so we'll see I'm more than positive it's a battery issue, they come with the lowest mii/amp possible guess cuz there chap enough an with plastic stakes water soil before installing I think there great when wkng. No sure yet on rain or snow as they sit close to the ground, I do like em but wish I didn't have to spend $16.00 immediately on new batteries but if it makes them wk great which I'm sure they will, but I figured I better let new buyers know this ahead of time mite just save you a headache like mine, again when they are wkng. Looks really nice, and I don't believe there is a charger made for the 2/3AAA ni/ mh batteries just so you know I could be wrong but I don't think so, buy these an enjoy the 1st night they were on arnd. 20 hundred hrs. an lasted till sunrise arnd 0600 hrs nice an bright all night long, so we shall see, but again I'm sure it's just the battery issue, weather will know at a later season, monsoon or winter, hope this is informative an helps all who buy these.

After price matching at multiple stores and realizing the best deals were on Amazon, I bought these specifically for the good price. The video is after just two hours of charging, so they aren’t even fully lit, yet! They definitely are not super high quality (they are plastic, not metal and glass), but they seem to do the job pretty well!

Purchased for back yard pool area. Overal/ disappointed... Not very bright and easily accumulates water from rain/sprinklers inside of light where condensation on plastic lens further reduces brightness. Overall, ya get what ya pay for. These are not well thought out and cheaply made. Could have been better with a little better design.

Obviously, at this price you can’t expect premium pathway lights. That said, these are great considering the cost. They are easy to install, sinuses a rubber mallet to hammer the stakes into the ground, then simple turned on each light and placed them on each stake. They look nice both during daylight and at night. The light pattern is unique, and interesting, and the light output is just enough to light a pathway without creating much light pollution. I’d your looking for pathway light that won’t break the bank, look no further.

I like that these lights are closer to the ground. They give off a soft,yet bright light. We have 25 fence posts, and one of these at every base. Looks nice coming towards our house,almost like a runway!

I have placed these lights in my 6 raised beds. They are strong and sturdy, with a good spike to go into the ground. They project a really nice light pattern around the light. I get the positive impression these should last a while.

Das Fazit vorab: Tolle Leuchten, tolles Licht, günstiger Preis. Empfehlung! Hätte ich ein Mikrofon, könnte ich es hier fallen lassen. Aber ich habe einen Hang zu Details, daher weiter wie folgt: Das 6er-Set Solarwegeleuchten von Amazon Basics kommt in einem unscheinbaren braunen Karton mit einem Aufkleber im üblichen "Basics"-Desgin. Die sechs Lampen stehen in zwei Reihen aufrecht nebeneinander, wobei die beiden mittleren mit Luftpolsterfolie geschützt sind; die beiden Reihen werden von der umfangreichen Anleitung getrennt. Die Erdsporne liegen oben auf. Die Farbe der Gehäuse ist ein ins braun tendierende Grau; für den Außenbereich eine sehr schöne Farbe. Die Leuchten sind in jeder Dimension sehr klein. Sie sind aber auch "oho", denn sie sind komplett zerlegbar. Die Reinigung wird so zum Kinderspiel. Sogar der obere Teil mit Solarpanel, Schalter und nach unten leuchtender LED kann geöffnet und der Akku getauscht werden. Die einzige LED leuchtet direkt nach unten, das Licht bricht sich in dem geriffelten transparenten Teil und erzeugt ein sehr schönes, sehr gleichmäßiges Strahlenmuster, das angesichts der kleinen Leuchte in seiner Breite sehr überrascht. Durch die geringe Höhe blendet das Licht niemanden und eignet sich damit auch für die Begrenzung einer Einfahrt. Für mich sind die Leuchten aus der Amazon Basics-Reihe eine sehr positive Überraschung. Sie sind zwar klein, sehen aber sehr gut aus und machen ein schönes Licht. Dazu ist die Verarbeitung top.
