Professional Series Ice Vest

Lifesaver in the Heat! Bought this cooling vest for high temp days on the job site, and it seriously makes a difference. It keeps my core temperature down, even in the blazing sun. Lightweight, easy to wear over a work shirt, and doesn’t restrict movement. Coworkers ask about it all the time.

This vest is constructed far better than my expectations. The vest is professional quality and I see it as long-lasting with proper care. The ice packs are well-made and they attach securely with high-grade Velcro full-length strips. The front zipper is very high-grade and the adjustable elastic side straps and draw-tight stretch strings are Genious for proper snug fit. The ice packs must press against your torso for proper cooling. I first wore mine on a walk on an extremely hot summer midday. It was 91f and high relative humidity. It was fantastic! I was by no means freezing nor was I soaking wet from condensation, though it makes sense to be mindful of what you wear under the vest. By the way, the reflective properties are exceptional! You might want to purchase an extra set of ice packs if you’re going to wear the vest over an hour. The ice was 60-70 melted after 38 minutes in my case. I’m 6’4” and 260lbs and it fit perfectly on me.

I bought this vest to keep cool while working with my bee hives wearing bee suits that tend to be very hot, and it works great. I have only used it once so far but i worked my bees for about an hour and stayed very cool the entire time. When i took my vest off the ice was still froze. I would highly recommend this vest for anyone who struggles in the heat.

This vest will keep you cool for 15-40 minutes in the Texas summer sun. It’s good if you feel yourself overheating. Slap it on and sit under a tree to cool down a bit. My husband wore it over his shirt, so you may want to try wearing it underneath. Ice cubes never turned solid (kept on cooler with ice) so that may be another thing to play with. The material is well made. It took a while to find out where the straps were to adjust ( try the pockets ) It is too much of a hassle to use every summer day, but on the days it’s forecasted for 100 + degrees, it’s nice to have a little relief.

The vest fits great. Super adjustable. Visibility is great too. I’m a cargo pilot in the South West and the plane gets very hot. This vest makes it bearable. In 100 degree heat the vest cooling lasts more than an hour. My only issue is the Velcro strips that hold the ice packs to the inside of the vest. A little forethought on the part of the designers would have put the soft loop side of the Velcro on the vest. As it is the vest can not be safely worn without the ice packs without the hooks pilling up your shirt. Flexifreeze please make the adjustment.

This is the best ice vest I have tried, with a few notes: 1) I hate the heat and overheat very easily, although I sweat from the neck and above rather than below. I wore the vest (black) on a 90-degree day to take a 1-mile walk to a doctor appointment. I was in the shade half the time. I was kept cool and was very happy, but when I arrived at my appointment and took off the vest, my torso was covered in sweat with a capital "C." Removing my clothes and toweling off only helped somewhat; I was still sweat-covered for my exam. Then, 40 minutes after arriving at the appointment, I tried to put the vest on for the walk home, and found that all the ice was melted. LESSON LEARNED: Don't plan to be too far from the extra set of frozen ice if you want to be outside for longer, and don't head for anyplace where you want to look nice. BUT...I will buy the beige version to see if it deflects heat and keeps cooler longer. Perhaps black was not the best idea.

Brought this for horseback riding in the FL. Heat, have used it a couple of times so far has worked well. Takes a couple of tries to get it to fit right. Overall pleased with it.

DO NOT BUY THIS OVERPRICED vest. The ice doesn't fully freeze. We have now left it in the freezer for a FULL 24 hours and all the ice has not completely frozen. When my husband needs to use the vest, because he has MS and the heat makes him relapse, the vest isn't even frozen after a full 24 hours in the freezer! Then, when he does try to use it half frozen, it only lasts about 35 minutes for 24 hours of freezing. He loves it for the first 15 minutes then the half frozen ice starts rapidly thawing. It really isn't worth the $130 price tag. I would buy again fro maybe $30 and not be so disappointed when it works like a cheap piece of you know what.

This vest is amazing as long as you buy extra sets of ice packs. I'm a mechanic and I have to wear fire resistant overalls all day long, those clothes can get as hot as hell really fast. So, I wear this vest under my overall and I switch the ice packs every 1 1/2 to 2 hours. That keeps me comfortable all day long. It costs a lot of money to buy the whole kit but it's woth every penny.
