Pelican M40 Micro Case (Black)

This is my first Pelican case, and I can see why they are so popular. The Quality is excellent and the case will clearly protect whatever is inside. I particularly like that they have a built in gasket seal to keep water out and make it air tight. It works great! They also have a one way valve to allow air pressure to escape from the case if there is a change in air pressure like when flying in an airplane. This appears standard for Pelican cases, and it gives me greater confidence in their cases. I will definitely be buying more Pelican cases for protecting my most important things. It's not cheap, but I do feel that I got what I paid for.

Purchased as a gift for one of my adult kids who spends a lot of time camping and backpacking. Case is well made and seemed to be good quality. Could see it being useful for many applications.

Pelican makes the best cases. They are far better than tackle boxes and are a better use of space than job-site tool boxes. The latches are sturdy and the cover seal is secure. I bought this one for storing a small 1/4" drive tool set. My son 3D-printed an insert with pockets sized for each of the sockets and accessories.

I bought this case to carry an expensive ham radio. It provides excellent protection when I transport the radio in my backpack.

Nearly indestructible and does a good job of protecting its contents. I haven't had any water intrusion during use or transport. I use one with some leftover foam from another Pelican case to protect a TinySA Ultra+, and one to hold miscellaneous fragile stuff while in the air or on the water. Visually, I'm not a fan. I don't like the look or feel of the latches, one of them makes an obnoxious sound, and the plastic feels like it's one step from snapping... but it never does. The entire case has a glossy plastic finish to it rather than the rough matte finish of most other Pelican cases. This means the case gets greasy and slippery easily and gets permanently scratched and scuffed on contact with any hard surface (mine was already pretty badly scuffed up when it arrived). A lock can be affixed but only cable locks or the smallest padlocks would fit in the tiny loop, and I wouldn't rely on it as a security measure.

Good size I can keep two iPhones, truck key with fob and reading glasses in case. Fits in backpack nicely. The quality is good for the price and the bright yellow color makes it easy to find.

High quality product. Air/water tight seal with air pressure vent if needed. Clear so no need to open if used with carry-on’s. Recommend it. I have four different versions of this box. Use them daily.

思ってたよりも内寸は大きくて満足です、いざという時にまとめて防水しておきたい物は全部入りましたしまだ余裕があります ただ本体サイズもそれなりにあるのでこのケースを何かに入れるのであればよく寸法を確認した方がいいです

This thing is tough and seals things well.

This is my first micro case by Pelican, though I do own their larger cases. It's very slick to the touch, I was expecting something a little more rough but it's acceptable. The hole for the lock is small and the tie downs on either end is small so if you plan to put a bungee cord through, it has to be small, ie not more than 3mm diameter. Using this box as part of my disaster kit.

Pelican makes excellent solid nearly indestructible cases. The rubber bottom inside is nice to have less noise for items moving around
