Amazing macros!
I was looking for a protein source to use in a taco casserole and came across this brand! It cooks, tastes and has the texture of normal rice, but adds incredible nutritional value. The instructions are easy to follow if cooking on its own, but I just threw it into my casserole to cook. I would highly recommend to anyone trying to make easy substitutes to hit their protein goals. My boyfriend is picky and even liked this!

Great product
The best rice substitute on the market. Cooks well in rice cooker and texture is amazing. Taste is same as rice.

Perfect for Keto Diet
Is this rice? No, but it mimics the texture and is a perfect vehicle as a side dish for us Keto dieters. I miss rice and used to eat rice everyday and I'm tired of spending so much on $$ on rice alternatives, this is the closest thing I could find that helps bulk my meal and fix my rice craving. It has a lot of fiber so I feel full....definitely eat a smaller portion to prevent being bloated and super gassy. The other reviewer about the farts is true, so eat it in smaller portions and not everyday. I boiled mine with triple amount of liquid to rice for 10min and let it sit for 10min to have it super soft like orzo. I don't like my "rice" crunchy. Boiled it with a savory broth like veg or chicken and onion and garlic powder and salt and it will be delicious. Because it's made out of beans it is has a slight bean flavor almost like hummus or chickpeas but that doesn't bother me..the pros out weigh the cons! I'd rather eat something similar to rice and pasta vs never having it again. Plus it soaks up any flavor or seasonings you add to it. Photo is a taco bowl I made with a fourth of one rice pkg, ground beef, and taco toppings. The price does suck but I get three rice portions out of one package and I don't eat it for every meal!

Guilt-free rice fix
This keto rice has totally filled the gap for me on low-carb days. The texture is surprisingly close to the real thing, and it holds up well in stir-fries, bowls, or even as a side with curry. Doesn't have that weird aftertaste some alternatives do, which was a nice surprise.

A Great Rice Substitute
A lot of keto substitutes just don't cut it. But this Kaizen rice looks, feels, and tastes similar to actual rice! It's delicious and easy to make. I highly recommend it.

You lost me at the texture
The taste isn't terrible but the texture is terrible. The morsels are sticky and soft and very unlike a rice eating experience. I only made this once and won't make the rest. Worth a try for the macros, not appetizing.

Not bad, But . . .
Made this for the first time last night. I would say it's more like Orzo than Rice. And I will need to cook it a little longer next time as it was also a little more al dente than I like. All things considered, I probably will not repurchase considering it is so expensive and doesn't replace rice for me.

OK, if not expecting rice
This product is pricey. I paid a little over $10 a bag. You cook it like pasta by boiling, straining and rinsing so I’d say they would have been better off calling it orzo rather than rice. There’s a pretty strong beanie taste so you do need to add a lot of extra flavor to cover it up. Once chewed it goes down like beans. I love the nutrition with 20g protein and 15g fiber but won’t be purchasing again at the price point (not even sure I’d pay half) To me it’s a new type of food to add to your diet but not an adequate replacement for the role that rice plays in a recipe.
