Pride and Prejudice (Puffin in Bloom)

Such a stunning edition, goes pride of place on my bookcase - the foiling is beautiful

A small, but nicely decorated hardback book. My daughter was delighted with it, it gives the book a new lease of life.

Really pretty book!!!

I must have read this book at least a dozen times. The accuracy of the status of the character's is a truth. of the times. No rebelling against the order. Women who lost their way were lost to society forever. Their is no descriptions of relationships with servants or how they lived. Jane Austen wrote about the struggles to remain in the society they were born, However, when I find the World to be a hard place, I enjoy the world and society she portrays.

This is one of nicest copies of pride and prejudice I have seen. It is a thick book and the text inside is spaced well and easy to read (unlike a lot of traditional copied). Shorter book than normal but has a lovely feel to it and as said the text is in an easy to read style.

It was in good condition and came out on time too.

I was looking for a fancier edition of this classic to replace a much read paperback and this one is really lovely.
