Easy to set up and working perfectly. Quck to respond when set up in an Alexa routine.
So far, working better than expected. I recently converted the lights in my basement to smart lights. This is a utility basement for laundry and storage. So, just a few overhead leds conected to one light socket where I added a smart socket. I found it to be a pain to remember to ask Alexa to turn the lights on before heading down there so I was looking for a solution. This door sensor is perfect. I have it on the basement door leading from by kitchen. When I open the door, by the time I get down 2 or 3 stairs, it has already turned the lights on for me. When I come up and close the door, it shuts the lights off. Setting it up was pretty simple. I think that's partly because the SmartLife app works very well and typically finds any new device. But it connected on my first attempt and so far hasn't given me any issues. Honestly, I was worried because it didn't need a hub and the price was very good compared to similar options. I'm very pleased with this.

A little sus, not not bad
The good: - The device makes no sound - The magnet pull is abysmally weak, so while it's nothing that you need to push/pull through, it still works - 2 AAA batteries - easy to replace - The notifications and alerts *generally* work reliably - It's relatively small. I feel it cold be smaller, but adding in the AAA battery compartment, it makes a bit of sense that it's not The bad: - Requires an app. Not necessarily obtained through third-party sites. I actually got the app first before the device. - Adding the device to the app is a bit painful. You'll likely need to do it twice (to familiarize yourself with the process the first time) unless your phone is setup to grant absolutely all permissions to everything immediately - Alerts work, but by default, it's the most obnoxious and urgent-sounding alarm... for a door being opened/closed/low battery. NOTE: This uses "alert notifications" not "notifications", so on glorious Android, this can be altered to your liking pretty easily so that you have a distinct, calmer, alert notification sound for this app - There's a flashing light. I understand that it needs to have some level of direct communication, and it's small enough to cover with tape or something, but still. When I get things that start beeping and flashing, my first goal is to prevent them from beeping or flashing The Ugly: - The app refuses to work unless you grant location permissions - PRECISE location permissions. This is apparently a one-time thing, as after setup, you can remove the permission. The app cries about it, but will continue to work. - You cannot connect this bluetooth/wifi device with only bluetooth. You need to give it (via the app) your wifi password. - Many features you'd expect, like alternate notifications outside the app cost additional money on a subscription basis. I'm fine with just the app notifications, personally. Get a notification forwarding app if this will bug you. - If you are looking into this product because you want to stay away from Tuya, I have some bad news for you. - Made in China

The basics
It’s great for a very basic set up. The notification is thru your phone only. Setup was fairly easy. Not sure yet how long the batteries will last, but the phone app does show battery level. Linked it to Google Assistant and the app doesn’t show any info for the alarms, but the hub does show the battery life and the window status as open or closed. The alarm sound is based on your phone value only. The alarm sound does not play thru Google Nest or Google Mini so compatibility is very very limited to seeing the battery level and window status only on the hub only. Quality works for the price point and connectivity seems good so far. There’s about a 10 second delay from the window being open to when the notification and sound comes thru on my phone. I’m not sure if you get more features with Alexa but was really hoping the alarm sound or an announcement could be made thru Google so that was a little disappointing by the compatibility features.

No insructions … useless plastic device
No instructions with products and unable to them on line in company’s web site ; communication with company does not help in support section nor help section , nor get a reasonable response to submitting a “relevant ticket”.

Works as expected. Easy to pair
Works like a charm! There weren’t many options for smart door sensors that didn’t require a hub or additional devices, this didn’t require either and paired with no fuss.

Reliable Wi-Fi Door Sensor with Flawless Performance After Setup
This Wi-Fi door sensor gets the job done and works flawlessly once you get it set up. Installation was straightforward and quick, but I found the setup process a bit confusing, mostly because the instructions were poorly written. A clearer manual or better-designed app would definitely improve the experience. That said, after navigating through the initial setup, the sensor has performed perfectly. It’s reliable and responsive, and I’ve had zero issues with Alexa integration. The door open announcements work seamlessly, which has been incredibly helpful for monitoring my elderly grandmother, who sometimes gets up in the middle of the night. Overall, this sensor is fully functional and dependable after you get it up and running. If the company improves the app and instructions, it would easily be a five-star product. Still, it’s a great purchase if you’re willing to spend a bit of extra time on the setup.

Had something like this before from another manufacturer but it failed when the batteries ran out. Decided to replace with a different manufacturer. This device also uses the Smart Life app which was an important specification to me as I wanted to avoid using another proprietary app to manage all these devices. Easy to pair up with the 2.4ghz WiFi and all done and dusted in a matter of minutes. Works well and is a tad faster to provide notifications to my phone when compared with my old sensor which was 2 years old. I opted for using these to monitor my home as they are not expensive and can easily expand using many different sensors from a wide range of manufacturers.
