Best water filter I’ve used yet! Set up is pretty simple if you follow the directions. It’s slow to filter which I don’t mind makes me feel like it’s actually filtering properly. My husband and I drink a lot of water so we have to fill it often but all in all we love it!

We bought the Berkey 2.25 2 months ago with optional water view spigot. The spigot makes it “professional”. You KNOW how much is in it - so then you KNOW how much to add. It is best to fill when low or out to effectively use all of the height of the black filter, however if the column has the floating ball at about an inch, then add three 2-quart containers without fear of overflow. Takes a little practice but we never had more than a few drops of overflow. You’ll have to adjust for other size units. Outstanding.

The water from the Berkey almost killed my dog. I was taking water to work every day, cooking with the water, and giving it to my dogs. After I started giving my dogs the water one of my Schnauzers started having diarrhea, which turned to full liquid, she lost so much weight that she was just bone and fur, I had to take her outside an hold her up so she could pee and the rest of the time wrap her up in a towel in case she got diarrhea on herself. Nobody could figure out what was wrong with her, she was like this for four months. I thought she was going to die. Then one day I realized my poop had been extremely soft for a while also. Then it hit me, Maybe it's the Berkey water because that's the only thing that was different/added to our routine. I stopped using the Berkey water and within a month my Schnauzer was eating again, walking around again, gaining her weight back and had turds again. As well as myself feeling better. I thought the Berkey would be a great investment, but it seriously poisoned my dog. I have not used it since.

I just did a taste test of my tap water, bottled water (Smart Water), Brita filtered water, and my new Berkey water. They all tasted exactly the same to me. Set-up takes awhile but it is not difficult. The initial price is high, but I expect to recoup that expense in due course and am very pleased so far.

I love my berkey. My only complaint is that there are still white mineral marks on my glass kettle after filtering, but Vegas water is super hard so I am not sure if it is expected or not. But the water tastes good after filtering. Just be careful when filling, because it will slowly overflow if the bottom reservoir is full but water is still filtering through.

Super easy to assemble, and the water tastes incredibly fresh. The filters work amazingly well—definitely worth it! We live in a camper & the size is perfect, the facet leaked one time but just have to tighten spout, great product & worth the price!

The setup required some elements they do not tell you about. Had to buy an adapter for our kitchen faucet to prime (which they did not say you had to do before you buy it) the filters.

I love our berkey. Our city water tastes so much better now. The filters are a bit costly but for just the two of us it will be a while before we have to change them. The instructions for setup sucked but with help from a friend we got it sorted. Hope I never have to but would reinvest in this product again.

Glad I got this. No more dodgy tap water for me. Water quality is excellent and fantastic filter longevity is a real bonus. You can add chlorine filters and a sight spigot to this too but u have to order separately.

If you want quality, it's worth investing. When it comes to health sometimes you have to invest. Some things are gimmicks. However when it comes to water filters. This is the go to brand. And it lasts for years so when you divide it over the years and months it's even more worth the initial investment
