Potassium Iodide for your survival kit or if you need a supplement
[This is a review of “ Health Dose Potassium Iodide Tablets 130 mg - Ki Pills Potassium Iodine Tablets - Short Term (140 Tablets)As a vine reviewer, I am pledging not to be compensated or influenced by the vendor; I state my opinions based on my personal experience without any bias or pressure]Potassium iodide, or chemical symbol KI is used in two distinct ways. The obvious use is in case your doctor has recommended you to supplement your diet with iodine. This is the case in case your thyroid gland needs it. The second use is as a back up in the event of exposure to radiation. Fortunately, I do not need it for medical reasons, but I do believe that having this medicine as part of your survival Kit is never a bad idea. It’s a relatively economical antidote to radiation and probably is best kept just in case we might end up needing it. The shelflife of this medicine is also quite high. For instance, the package we received this month will last until the year 2032 so it’s got a very long life and without any deterioration in quality, so probably you want to stick this just as yet another back up for the black swan of an event. Hopefully you never need it ! Because this is an American made product with all the necessary certifications and quality credentials , I’ll give this five stars .

Great for my safety!
As someone who lives near a nuclear power plant, I was eager to try out the these out. These tablets are designed to protect your thyroid gland in the event of a nuclear emergency by blocking the absorption of radioactive iodine. After doing some research, I was confident that this product would be an effective way to ensure my safety and the safety of my family in the event of a nuclear incident. The tablets are easy to take, and I appreciate that they come in a compact bottle that I can easily store in my emergency kit. I also appreciate that the dosage is clearly marked, so I know exactly how much to take in the event of an emergency. While I hope to never have to use these tablets, it gives me peace of mind knowing that I have them on hand just in case. Overall, I highly recommend theTablets to anyone who lives near a nuclear power plant or is concerned about nuclear safety.

Preppers Need This
This Health Dose Potassium Iodide Tablets is an important part of a prepper's emergency kit. It's high quality.Just a little disclaimer to explain further. For decades, I’m fully interested in researching, understanding, and using natural food supplements, especially those with great quality and potency. However, it takes time to see and measure the full results and benefits of any food supplements, including this one. On immediacy, the supplement may have reaction on me or not, depending on my body’s immunity level and response, which is different to other users. For this reason, my rating is based on several factors. The overall product packaging that contains vital information about the ingredients, processing the content, finished quality, or whether the supplement is easy to swallow, the flavor, and value for money are also part of my assessment. My recommendation here should not be taken as a third-party lab test result or medical advice, rather, as an observation of a voluntary non-medical user. I’m not earning from any of these manufacturers. Moreover, prolonged use may cause compromise of immunity or increase toxicity level in the body. As such, I’ll leave to the user the discretion to continue using this supplement or not.As for me, I’m giving Health Dose Potassium Iodide Tablets a 5 star rating.

Insurance You Hope You Don’t Need
The 130mg Potassium Iodide tablets from the Health Dose Store delivered in perfect condition. The expiration date on my bottle is 11/32, so just short of 10 years of insurance for a little over $2 a year.I don’t know where these are manufactured. The bottle only says “Manufactured Exclusively’FOR’ Health Dose”. The bottle says it’s in an FDA registered facility, but that does not mean it’s manufactured in the USA.Because these are not daily supplements, and according to the CDC, should not be taken unless instructed by public health or emergency response officials or a healthcare provider, I have not actually consumed any tablets.Note that potassium iodide (KI) protects ONLY the thyroid against radiation exposure, not the entire body. And, the CDC recommends it only for people under 40 or pregnant. I don’t fit in either of those groups, but if the shizzle hits the fan, and government or health officials recommend that everyone take KI tablets, you need to have them on hand immediately. The recommended dosage is for 2 tablets daily, for no more than 14 days, so a 140 count bottle will suffice for a family of 5. Again, cheap insurance for you and your family that you hope will never be needed, but could be invaluable if you do.

Good for emergency
I live not far from a nuclear-power plant so having this on hand in case of accidents gives peace of mind to disaster and first aid kits. Its not something you take as a daily potassium supplement. But I did a lot of reading and KI potassium is fda suppuported as a way to protect your thyroid if you get exposed to radiation these pills have a ten year shelf life and there's enough to treat a few people. I live alone with my husband and my son lives nearby. There are enough pills for the three of us to be protected from radiation should anything occur and I think thats wonderful because you never know. When disaster strikes these could suddenly be impossible to find. Having rhem on hand means peace of mind.
