Works well as a direct replacement
Nicely heavy duty - no thin tin-like metal here.The drain grates on our 1930's house are what appear to be the original cast iron versions which means thick casting and minimal gaps for water. Even with drain covers, leaves would block the drains when it rained.I bought one of these as a test for the worst offender. The first things I noticed were how heavy duty they feel. The second is that there are more openings.It was a straight one-for-one swap. And so far, it's been a positive result. I've had no more blockages despite heavy rain and heavy leaf falling from trees.

Check thickness required as well as diameter
Used to replace a plastic drain cover but not thick enough. I had to improvise with some packing around the edges but product itself very good

This is very good quality. I'm glad I didn't buy cheaper ones. This sold drain cover will last a lifetime. It fits perfectly. It arrived much quicker than I expected. Great service and product
