Fantastic read.
This is a great succession from the first book, I'm looking forward to finishing the last two books in the series.

Awesome use of knockout gas!
So the second book in the series finds our girl still fighting her destiny, and the 4 horsemen. Events from her distant and recent past start to haunt her as they come back and she needs to fight to move past them. Moira falls into danger and needs to be rescued, but traps everywhere and assassination attempts stretch the guys thin. There were plenty of plot twists and new revelations that kept you poised for more ...

Nom
This book was so nommy. I finished it in one night. At this point I feel like the series is edging the reader though.

2nd book is better than first for storyline and character depth
The second novel in the series continues where the first one left off (and leaves us the same way- for the third to pick up). even so, you probably could skip the first story as there is enough recap to give you the gist of the first. This kind of series is for the people who love alpha males spend time teaching uninformed woman that she can be a badass and they're all meant for each other. 2nd book rundown: Obviously a person can't just disappear without consequences and our MC is dealing w those in this book. This story has more of the "how can we get her to claim us" aspect but also it had more going on in excitement, storywise, than the first. There was progress in world building in the sense that we learn more about what the horsemen and lucifer daughter can do which lends to the character depth I felt was missing in the first book. The writing is still solid and mature, narrative is from multiple perspectives still (though the horsemen only ever get 2 pages used to kind of flush out their thoughts\feelings about whatever has happened). I was happier w the plot progression in this one but I didn't feel the dialogue was witty or unique still and so I was left feeling that while things are happening, not having a good dialogue to go with that was a bit of a let down. As for romance, well, she is still pushing back but also she is giving into her demon and realizing "why have 1 when you can have them all" - getting her to give in is the slow burn of it. With that being said, no explicit sex scenes still but there was a sexy moment I enjoyed. The violence is still fairly mild and short lived and mild profanity.

Entrancing characters
Sometimes in RH the characters kind of blend or share such similar traits they blur at first. No worries here! The characters are rich with personality and fun to love. A great first in the series

As good as the first!!
I can't say enough about this book. I loved this one as much as the first. The story is unfolding and kel is developin these characters so well you almost feel like you know them like close friends. This story is hot, steamy at times, and flamable in every way but with the main plot being something you can't put down. You want to see how things develop between the horsemen,Ruby and everybody involved. I've burned through these pages and can't wait to get more. Thanks for an awesome book Kel. keep it up. I got a lot of homework to do to catch up on some series.

Action packed slow burn romance
Wicked Games is an action packed slow burn romance that lives within our world. I will say, read the first one before reading this one. Ruby is awesome. She's a bad@$$ chick and grows more into her powers and beast this book. I really liked how Ruby didn't fight too much with the beast inside her, it will soon become a huge part of her so I liked that they got along with few arguments. Everything comes to a head this book. We learn more about Ruby, we also learn more about the Horsemen and Moira. At first I was telling at Ruby to get it on with her Horsemen. Now I'm loving the slow burn of romance and getting to know each guy. They are so different from each other. Rysten and Laran are my favorites. I enjoyed getting a snippet from all four's life though.I'm excited to see where Ruby ends up with the next book. I'm also curious about her transition. She's made some new allies, possibly, and we've met new villains. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I'm impatiently waiting to find out what happens next. Especially after the few reveals at the end of the story!!

Fast Becoming A Favourite Author Because Of This Series
Wicked Games kicks off straight after the events in Lucifer’s Daughter, and just like the first book it is a damn good read.Carpenter certainly knows how to write, she also takes the time to have all her books impeccably edited so that I didn’t even notice one mistake. In one of the reviews for this book, someone wrote that not much happens; I don’t know what book they were reading because I feel that a lot happens in this book. Ruby starts to let go of the old human side of herself and embrace who she truly is. We still get to see a lot of Moira and Bandit which I absolutely love, and the relationships between Ruby and the Four Horsemen continue to build, even if there is a few side steps along the way.Much that happened in book one is brought to a close, with more coming to light about each character. There is about the same amount of steamy scenes as the first book and still a bit of a trigger warning. Not a cliffhanger ending per se but Wicked Games is definitely setting the stage for book three. The only disappointment in this series so far is that book three is not out yet. Just like book one, Wicked Games has gone straight into my favourites folder. On another note: I actually prefer the original covers for book one and two.

Can you say 'sexual tension'?
This sequel sees a little more of the horsemen, lots more sexual tension, and some character development for Ruby, though maybe not in the direction one expects. Her alter ego is scary, and I sometimes struggled to know what was going on. I also cam't keep the horsemen apart, thugh that might be because I read too quickly and they all merged into one hot mess of sexy men who have the hots for Ruby (this isn't a bad thing, if you like sexual tension, this delivers!)
