I was a little skeptical because of the price, and they seemed like they might be flimsy before putting them together but to my surprise they are nice and sturdy and my hens started using them the same day! The only complaint is that the faux grass pads don't fit, but I just reused the pads I had in the old boxes.

I have 5 backyard chickens, and a couple of them decided to start eating the eggs they laid. I tried everything: different food, more calcium and threats, wood eggs, ceramic eggs. The fake eggs worked for a while, but a couple months later they started this bad habit again. I installed these inside of their coop, and now I hear less angry cackling when one of them is nesting and a new one wants to come in, as they don't see each other in these more enclosed nests, and the eggs have all lived. I installed a fake wooden egg on each nest area with a drill and a screw so it doesn't roll away, to get the chickens to start laying on this new location; it took a couple days but they all got the hint. I haven't removed this fake egg and it's been a month and a half so maybe I can, but it's working great.

These work great! I have 15 in my coop keeps the eggs safe from nail punctures and eliminates the possibility of an egg eater. Definitely worth the money
