They spray is awesome I used this spray on my old aluminum rims and was really impressed with how smooth the finish came out. The gloss black look gave my wheels a refreshed appearance, and the any-angle spray nozzle made reaching awkward spots surprisingly easy. Prep is key though — I sanded and cleaned the wheels thoroughly beforehand and the paint adhered well with no obvious peeling after a few weeks on the road. Sprays easily and provides very good coverage without building up. Easy to make sure there are no drips. Color is exactly as I hoped. Metallic deep gray but not too dark. I used slightly more than 1 can to do 4 coats over primer on some 16" wheels. The metallic flakes get everywhere so be sure you mask your area well. The flakes result in a rough textured finish, like low grit sandpaper. If that's not what you want, be sure to put a few coats of clear over top. Will buy again for the next set of wheels I do.

I've used 4 cans of this and the finish looks great and is very resilient when applied over High Carbon steel that has been sanded first. It has many many fine silver particles that give it the very nice silver appearance. I did have a problem with 1 can clogging immediately and another one started to shoot clumps of those silver particles. Amazon gives a link to Rust-Oleum customer service who was very helpful and got me replacements without any hassle. Definitely make sure to shake more than normal cans just to make sure to break up any clumps of those fine particles.

Very bad paint or batch, 2 out of 3 had to be returned, bits of paint were flying out of the can, even though I rubbed the can for 3 minutes The spray can is clogged and the paint won't come out anymore. The surface I was painting is ruined. I need to wash off all these pieces of paint.

Took a star off because these come with a fan pattern spray tip which is fine for large jobs but is counterproductive for something more detailed, like wheels, you can pop on any standard tip from any other Rusto can. Gloss black is more like satin black which is fine by me but still shouldn’t be called “gloss”. Preparation is key when painting anything, I took these wheels down to bare metal and hit them with some etching primer first. It took two cans to cover four 14” wheels, could’ve taken a third if I wanted them absolutely perfect. We will see how it holds up to the elements.

The quality of the product is good, gives a nice spray and dries off quickly, adhesion is good., I think the price should have been a little less so a bit pricey , gives a Matt finish , good for painting on those scraps on the wheels where paint has chipped off.

Really good. Nice matte black tone. Stick very well. Well paid items.
