1883 Maison Routin - Syrup Pump - for Glass Bottles (2-Pack)

The vanilla one clogs but hot water or poke out the dry sugar for easy use once again.

Warning: This pump only fits properly on the glass bottle variety. The plastic bottle has a different opening size, so the pump justs rests on top.I have one of each bottle type, and have to be careful with the plastic one.

I just received these today and, after washing them, put them on my Torani syrup bottles. The pumps fit loosely over the tops of the bottles (you can’t lift up the bottle by picking up the pumps). That means that these pumps will fit on your bottles as well. To take into account the differing heights of your bottles, the pumps have a length of plastic tubing that you attach to the bottom of the pump (see the picture on the sales site) and then cut to length. I didn’t need to cut them to fit the Torani bottle.I use a 32 oz thermos bottle and fill it with hot tea (or cold in the warmer weather). One squirt from this pump provides just the hint of flavor that I am looking for to add to my tea. I don’t know the exact volume of one pump, but it’s easy to press the pump halfway down if that’s what you want.The pump seems plenty sturdy enough. It doesn’t bend or wobble when I press down on it. It pushes out a stream of syrup, which is what you would expect. I recommend it to you.

This arrived without the clear plastic cylinder to pull syrup out - black part is useless on its own. Super disappointing.

We use 1883 syrups in our home coffee bar so these are a good fit. The pumping action is very smooth. Like any pump, syrup does tend to start to clog up the pump spigot after several days but rinsing under hot water and then pumping some hot water through them cleans that right out. Glad I picked these up, they will be great if we decide to add some additional flavors to our coffee bar or even just to use as spares for when another pump is being washed.

I wasn’t sure if these would work on the Torani syrup bottles (they don’t fit) and alas I had to purchase some 1883 syrup to test these pumps out. (Off topic…. The syrup is very comparable to Torani but has a thicker viscosity and stronger taste.)They came un-assembled, with just inserting the straw portion into the pump mechanism.I like that you can pull the straw out to deep clean the mechanism on the pump in between bottles. They fit well on the 1883 bottle, and are a much better design over other pumps I’ve dealt with in the past.The pumps deliver a great deal of syrup and appear to have no drips or splatter upon release.

The media could not be loaded. I got this Philibert Routin 1883 syrup pump set because I had bought a couple of torani syrups and forgotten to get more pumps. I had a gold Torani pump and it can be seen next to the Routin 1883 pump in the photo. They work the same way, but this black plastic Philibert Routin pump fits onto the bottle with a strange pressure fitting, that only happens to be the right size to draw from a Torani bottle. It doesn’t screw on like the other one. Mine came with two pumps, and they included the pump straws.I am not familiar with the Philibert Routin 1883 brand but the branding is very prominent on the pump. The design of the logo looks nice and the plastic of the pump seems fairly quality. It pumps syrup just fine.I wouldn’t say that this is a good value for the money. There are two pumps, and they should last for a while, but I would like to see more pumps come with it, or for them to have some special feature, to be a better value. For me though, they function just fine.

These drink syrup pumps work great. They fit my glass bottles of syrup perfectly and work just as they should. They are easy to use and make adding syrup to my drinks a lot easier and cleaner then pouring it. Great price for two of them.
