This is one of those easy maintenance items that can save you a ton of money by doing it yourself over paying the insane prices at the dealership and you get a much higher quality air filter that will increase your health and comfort in your vehicle.I replaced the OEM air cabin filter on my 2020 Tacoma Tacoma 4x4 Off-Road with one. The filter is located at the back of the glove compartment and literally takes less than a couple of minutes to replace. If you do it yourself, and I highly recommend that you do, watch a couple of YouTube videos first to make sure you get the filter installed in the correct airflow orientation. I've seen one on a review for this product that was incorrect. If you are using an OEM filter, there is an arrow indicating which way is up. This is NOT the airflow indicator. The air flows from the top so you should install the filter side up and the air flows through the carbon filter before going into the cabin.The box was printed with a label for a Dodge car, but it must be the same size as my Toyota because it fit perfectly. The quality is so much better than the OEM filter. This is definitely an upgrade! The OEM filter catches bugs and leaves and some dirt and dust, but nothing compared to this filter. Because it has a hepa-quality filter and an activated carbon filter, it's a little bit thicker than the OEM filter, but it still fit nicely. It also has a nice foam edge to help seal the filter in the housing and ensure you're always breathing filtered air in the cabin. The carbon pellets are loose in individual cells.I noticed a difference in the air quality immediately. We are having nearby forest fires this summer and the smoke has really made it difficult to be outdoors. Driving to work with this filter really helped dramatically with the smoke in my truck. I did notice a slight reduction in my usual fan settings for air conditioning, but I suspect it's because it has a much thicker filter to pass through now. Some people might think an air filter is an filter - and believe there's really no difference. In my experience, it pays to go with a higher quality filter to ensure the filter does what it's supposed to do. This air filter is more expensive than others that fit my 2005 Tacoma (yep, it's still running like a champ!), but it's worth it to me.First, I'm not a scientist or an engineer, but this filter seems to be built better than the average filter I've used. Second, it offers "high performance" activated carbon, so it filters out smells as well as airborne particles. Third, it's a HEPA filter, so I'm confident it can filter out very nearly 100% of particles that are 3 microns or less. (I believe this one goes down to 2.5 microns.) Last, it's offered at a competitive price and fits well in my truck.Overall, a great product at a fair price that performs very well. Highly recommended!

Filter looks like the quality is good and will hold up. Perfect fit and no odor when first installed. Only dings for the review are this; the cost is about double for the basic filter and the biggest for me is what appears to be a lot more plastic involved. This includes the packaging and the make up of the filter. I will say compared to the stock filter it’s a lot more beefier but is this all needed? How much better is the charcoal in the filter I couldn’t tell ya.

I got this to help with a musty smell in my truck that I can't seem to locate. It was time to replace my cabin filter anyway so I got this filter hoping it would help. When I went to install it I noticed there's no writing on it or marking for top or bottom. Naturally I know the paper side should got towards the top or incoming air side so no big deal, but they really should mark it for proper installation. After a few days in my truck I'm not smelling the odor any more so I guess it's working! Happy I got this filter now.

According to the description, this is not quite square 8.11" x 8.07", but so far as I could tell it fit either way in my 2010 Tacoma. I just guessed which way was correct as I doubt that .04" discrepancy makes a difference. I couldn't refer to the old one because it was falling apart as I removed it thanks to a mouse nest on top of it.The air is blowing fine through the new one.
