I have shot at the range and the woods with these several times now. Amplifies sounds in woods during hunting activities. Definitely works to block out loud noises (gunfire, etc.). I would highly recommended for the price compared to competitors products. Came with several extras (i.e. hunting, American flag, other patches for the side Velcro attachments, and a pair of standard soft ear plugs). They fold up compact and have a carrying bag included. After several uses, batteries have held up well.

Industry average sound protection: using them at the range I add inside -the - ear foam plugs for added safety. You probably won't need foam plugs if you're mowing or operating power tools. The ,"4x sound" is a very clever built in microphone that, when switched on, allows you to hear regular sounds such as people talking and subtle sounds around you. The 4x sound microphone cuts off instantly (milliseconds) in response to loud sounds and then switches back on again. The design of the headphones allows you to get a good tight fit. The reduced size of the ear pieces allows a good cheek weld. Overall build quality is "pretty good"; I would prefer that the main pins which hold the headphones together were made of metal instead of plastic, but even our cars are made of plastic these days! There is also a standard female input jack so you can plug in a music player or similar. I haven't used that feature.

I first purchased the Walkers Slim ear protection and found the audio very poor. Volume was low, and tinny. I did not like the fit, they were so slim they actually looked sort of stupid on your head. The volume knob was hard to find. I returned them and tried these and they are MUCH better quality. The volume is sensitive and noise cancelling is faster and stronger. The volume is large and easy to find. They fit well (a little tight at first) and don't look dumb on your head. The headband is padded, over all much better quality.

I gave these as a gift and the user really likes them. Completely muffles the sound of rounds being fired at the gun range while still allowing the user to hear and communicate with others. Adjustable fit and very comfortable around the ears.

It does a fine job on the firing line. It is a good product for going to the shooting gallery one size fits all. It is comfortable versatile

Work great, love that I can turn the volume off

Great product for the price. The sound amplification once activated is incredible. At the highest setting there can be a bit of mic interference, but honestly there’s no real need to run it that high anyway. Overall, I’m still giving it 5 stars because it performed exactly how I wanted it to at the range. I could clearly hear my steel target ringing at 300 meters, still have conversations with people around me, and most importantly protect my hearing. Great product — would definitely recommend.
