Excellent, well written with clear photographic illustrations
Excellent, well written with clear photographic illustrations. Both the book and the topic well out reached my expectations. Often these sort of books are over the head the heads of the inexperienced readers. Here the author has hit that balance of explaining the procedures at a level the novice can follow, without insulting the intelligence of the experienced reader. I personally couldn't put it down. Recommended reading as an instruction manual and a reference book for the restorer of any motorcycle.

Worth the cost...
Excellent general guide to restoring a vintage motorcycle. WARNING: This book is mainly focused on 60's and 70's Japanese bikes. This is what I wanted, as restoration guides for older American and British bikes are easier to find but until recently older Japanese bikes were not really considered "restorable". Well written with excellent color photos. I would highly recommend this book (along with a shop manual for your particular bike) to anyone considering restoring a vintage Japanese motorcycle.

Great book for the novice
Although this book is for beginners, I enjoyed reading it and did learn a thing or two. It has lots of good color pictures. I was hoping that it would cover mostly Hondas, but instead, a lot of it is on a Suzuki which is very similar. The basics are the same. I would definitely recommend it.
