Melissa & Doug Deluxe Combo Scratch Art Set: 16 Boards, 2 Stylus Tools, 3 Frames - FSC Certified

Like most Melissa and Doug products, this is a nice tech-free product for kids. I think this would be good for kids 4-10. What kid (or grownup!) doesn’t love these scratch off pads! It’s a simple but fun activity for kids. I would not recommend for use in the car due to the mess. It’s easy to sweep or vacuum up at home, but I wouldn’t want it all over my car.

Great for a budding artist or younger child. The frames are pretty flimsy but for my 5 year old was a great way to display his master piece. So far we have only tried the sun catcher paper and I was pleasantly surprised that this product doesn't leave behind the black shavings like some. Overall a nice starter kit, you get the sticks, a variety of papers, 2 frames, and stencils for under $15. I am pretty happy with my purchase and most of all my son is occupied!

I first bought these for my nieces who love arts and crafts. They enjoyed them so much that I purchased more as prizes for my middle school classroom. Children of all ages love scratch art, and I love the lack of cleanup! First of all, Melissa & Doug items are of the highest quality. You get 4 different types of scratch paper that kids will fight over! Get assortment and a great price....do not hesitate to try these out!

I LOVE Melissa & Doug. They have a lot of cute "wooden" toys that tend to be overpriced, but they're good quality and good design. When Amazon had a sale on this Art Combo Set, we purchased 2 of them with the intention of splitting up the pieces into three art boxes to be used as Christmas gifts. The sets come with a lot of different sheets of paper (4 rainbow, 4 white-coated rainbow, 4 light-catcher, and 4 silver holographic) but unfortunately you can't tell the difference between any of them because they aren't labeled! The black sheets are all identical (until you start drawing on them). They're individually packaged, so it would have been really easy to just label the plastic bags (of which there were MANY in this set!) Otherwise, I still like the Melissa & Doug brand and will continue to buy.... just wish this set was thought out a little bit better.

7 & 10 year old boys enjoyed creating pictures & putting them in the frames.

My now 9-year-old daughter received this for her birthday. She has done scratch art in the past and really enjoyed it. This kit was perfect for her! It has plenty of scratch pages, so she didn't use it all up the first week. Also, the stencils are simple enough to use, but detailed enough to create some beautiful scratch art. Her older sister (14) begged for a couple of sheets and she felt like she had enough to share.

I ordered 2 sets as gifts for christmas, one of the sets was used, unfortunately I didn't check it until today, almost four weeks after they arrive, came with two plastic bags opened, missing two sheets, and missing the tree red frames, also one of the light catcher was already used by some one. Recommend to check the sets inmediatelly after receiving, now for me is too late for any claim or return, the product itself is great because you can display the best of your kids abilities, at home or in your desk.

I have yet to meet a kid that doesn't love these! We purchased this for an 8-year-old girl to use during a holiday party, and two younger boys (4 and 6) joined in and had just as much fun. We later purchased them for another little girl (5), who I'm told used up all the papers in a day. The kit includes a couple sticks for scratching, some cute stencils, some paper "frames" for completed artwork, and plenty of scratch papers in fun backgrounds. Simple toys are often the best, and this one won't disappoint.
