Deadwood bushings: Nicely made!
May 1, 2024 After reading various complaints about these imported bushing sets, I decided to try the set branded Deadwood Crafted Tools…there’s a nice Old West ambience, after all, which wouldn’t obtain were they named Cprmoibk or some other classy Amazon moniker that rolls so easily off the tongue. These might have been the bushings Marshal Dillon preferred when routing patterns for Miss Kitty. (Festus cranked the dynamo for Matt, of course.) This set is labeled Taiwan, which might mean something in light of their quality. They all fit extremely well in my Bosch adapter, and are totally consistent: none loose, none too tight to install. The knurled lock rings spin onto the threads like a Benchcrafted leg vise. (Must post a YT video of it spinning! Must be part of the “in” crowd!) Bushing outer diameters are all 0.001 inch smaller than spec, except the 1/2”, which is a whopping 0.002” small. Inside diameters, which don’t matter, are 0.004” off. Big deal. I’m extremely pleased. My hat is off to the nineteenth-century CNC machinists of Old Deadwood.

works as advertised
This product worked as advertised, the quality is very good and they fit the subbase on my Dewalt compact router perfectly. very well pleased with this product.

Bushing too tall
This product is very well made, the machining is high quality. However, the bushing itself is 1/4" and is too tall for my 14 degree dovetail cutter. I cannot get to the proper depth of the cutter without interference. My old bushing is 3/16" and works fine.

Easy to change.
I have found that the brass router guides are easier to change out than the steel ones. This set works great and the plastic case helps keep them organized.

You need these
This is a quality kit for my shop. The fit and finish is perfect. If I could give this 6 stars I would. It will be for my handheld router and my router table.

Mandatory tool for inlays and such
Precision is the name of the game with this set. They are used to guide your router in and around templates to make an absolutely professional, clean looking final product. Why did I not know about these sooner? A must have.
