SakkasEveryday Essentials Caftan Tank Dress/Cover Up

This dress is lightweight, easy breezy and comfortable. I can wear a bra no problem. Wear around the house or dress it up and go out. I loved the first one so much I got 4 more. Wish I could find a short sleeve version - still looking.

It is much shorter than it looks in this picture and snug across the chest. I had to return this (no problem) but if you prefer longer you must look for the word LONG in description. This one is cute but not my style.

This is my favorite Sakkas dress since I started buying them 4 years ago. It fits better than some of my older dresses. It is very lightweight and comfortable. I get compliments on my Sakkas dresses all the time. I wear them several times a week and I love them!

I have ordered Sakkas clothing before (specifically a lovely embroidered shirt), so I knew what to expect in terms of the material and embroidery. Yes, these items are a little fragile. You simply have to wash them by hand and air dry them, and considering the material they dry VERY quickly!!!! I am a size 18/20 normally, so I was a little worried about how this dress would fit since I recall a reviewer saying the arm holes were small. The armholes and neck opening are fine! The neck line fell on me exactly to where it falls on the model in this pic, and the arm holes were fine (not to loose, not too tight).The Sakkas shirt I've had for over a year is still holding up nicely. A bit of the embroidery has unraveled near the seam next to one of the arm holes, but it is not distracting, and if it got worse it would be easy to find gold thread and run a few stitches over the spot to secure it. As for this dress, I haven't washed it yet (Sorry, does that make me weird not to bother to wash it before wearing it?)...it did *NOT* have a smell to it whatsoever (I recall a reviewer mentioning a smell, although that could have been for a different Sakkas product review, sorry my memory is foggy after 3 kids and sleep deprivation).ANYWAY, so I wore it to a high school graduation and it was lovely. Yes, you will want a slip or pair of shorts underneath, as it is a little see-through in bright light. I have recently ordered a pair of all cotton culotte slip (the kind that look like shorts) and am sure those will work well under this dress. You don't need a full slip if you don't want, as I asked a couple of good friends (who would tell me the truth) if my bra was visible in the sunlight, and the answer was no (and in the mirror I could not detect my bra either).This dress fit *very* well, and even had room to spare as it is a very flowy dress. The material is soft and it "swings" a little. We're traveling to a tropical location next year, and I know this is going to work well (it was pretty warm for the graduation and I was very comfortable).Ladies, this dress is slightly mu-mu-ish in that it does not suggest a waist line. For me, I find that to be a positive, as I don't care to show my rolls and lumps and bumps to the world. It is a simply but lovely dress that will keep you cool in the heat, and looks fine wrinkled or ironed (personally, I wouldn't iron it as it may be too much on such a fragile dress. If you want it to last as long as possible, stay away from heat such as irons and the dryer). I plan to go back and order the other colors now (I got the lavender color, which seems sold out at the moment - sorry if I got the last one!)This definitely would be great for just tossing into an overnight bag as it looks fine with a few wrinkles and those wrinkles did tend to smooth out over the course of the morning. Overall, very happy with the purchase! This summer is going to be a great one with such nice, easy dresses as these :)

I like that it is so lightweight.It is a little shorter than I thought. Well above knee.

Not liking how sheer this is. I don't want see thru anything.

I bought this because the website said it could be used as a cover-up or a dress. This is not true, unless you like your dress is to be see-through!

Ordered this is Turquoise/Black and the colour is lovely. Sizing I am high street 18 (and losing weight) and a little snug on arm hole but will be fine by second holiday this year. This is quite sheer, but I purchased for the intention of wearing over a swim suit not a dress for evening etc. This would not suit me for that purposed far too sheer, would need to wear a slip then would make it too hot. The length is correct (shoulder to longest back measurement), I measured, however the pictures show the models and the dress comes below the knees, not the case unless you are very petite. I am standard size 5ft 4 and this comes above the knee on me, as I say this will be ok for over a swim suit but definitively nothing more for me.

I’ve bought a lot of dresses from Sakkas this year. The quality of each dress varies quite a bit but is on the ‘cheap’ side overall. Lots of loose ha ding threads, missed stitching and a few wonky seams. Given that they’re not very cheap dresses, I wouldn’t buy them again. They were fine for a season but haven’t lasted well with washing. They are very roomy and lightweight which was exactly what I needed this year, but also very see-through.

I have got several of the Sakkas dresses. Never been disappointed. Fairly quick delivery. This white one very pretty but very see through...at my age thats not a good idea so I will wear a white vest top underneath and treat it as a top by wearing leggings...if not everybody will see my knickers. !!

I'm very happy with this! As this is a one size fits all, I expected it might be a little on the smaller side for my size 16 DD's, but it actually fits really nicely. The material is quite thin, I purchased to wear abroad and this will work well for that purpose. I wouldn't walk around British streets wearing it, but for a holiday it's perfect. Hand wash only.

Very pleased. Arrived quickly. Yellow beautiful colour. Does need an undershirt if not wearing on beach. I was worried the arm holes would be too big but fit well. I am a 5ft 1inch size 14 .Will buy from this supplier again. Good value.
