I think the product is a very good one. For hygiene reasons, I didn't open it all. I bought it for my dad, who is diabetic. I hope it works for him.

First, the device did not come with any batteries, which was disappointing right from the start. After purchasing batteries separately, I followed the instructions carefully, but the meter gave me an error code (E01) right away when trying to test ketones. I tried multiple strips from the same batch — all stored properly — and still faced the same issue.When I finally got a reading, it showed 0.1 mmol/L of ketones, which is highly unlikely considering I have been following a strict ketogenic diet for several days with minimal carbs. The result is clearly inaccurate.Then I tried to test glucose, and the device wouldn’t register the strip at all — just kept showing an error and no reading. I used fresh strips and followed all steps correctly. It’s very frustrating when you do everything right and still can’t trust the results.This product gave me zero confidence in its accuracy and reliability. I will be looking for a better-quality meter from a more reputable brand. Definitely not recommended.

I bought it for my grandmother to measure her blood sugar, it's very accurate, it's easy to use, it's good quality, it works very well.

This is a great little unit and it has worked perfectly out of the box. It would be 5 stars but there really isn’t a good way to get help for questions. My main question and I thought everyone would mention this, there isn’t a reference range sheet. It’s not online, not with the product, no where. So you can take your readings but you really are guessing if they are normal, or out of range. Really frustrating. I’ve written MediLax but yet to hear anything.

Pain in the a$$ to have to convert measurements over.
