I got this for the daughter of a friend who loves unicorns, and was having some behavior issues at home and school. I haven’t seen the end result, but her mom said it has been a perfect and much loved and used gift to have a safe place for her to write down her feelings and thoughts when she’s upset.The bright colors and large amount of decorative accessories have a lot of “wow” factor and although she was hesitant about expressing how she felt verbally, she has been able to have fun decorating the journal and writing/drawing about events in her life that have upset her.The best part about the kit (according to the mom) has been the super cool variety of of pens, which she also brings to school with her and adores the multicolored one with the unicorn shaped top.So far this is a win, and when she runs out of pages, I’ll be purchasing her another one so that she can have a whole new set, and she can reflect back on past events and how to navigate her feelings.
