Best small pack ever!
I have been searching for a small backpack for years. The straps are either too small, too big, set too wide or high. I have a 42'' chest, slim-ish build, 6' tall and this is a perfect size. It doesn't sit over the lower back so it can be used for cycling adventures! Build quality is very good.

Bombproof (not literally).
Maxpedition gear in my experience is always of the highest quality and uses really high specification materials.I bought this bag as an EDC bag and was at first worried it might not be big enough, but it will hold more kit than you'd think and has the benefit that the main compartment zips all the way round allowing for the bag to be opened out completely flat. There are 3 compartments, each with smaller pockets inside. A front flat pocket allows convenient storage of small regular use items: wallet, phone, ID. A larger pouch, secured with a clip can hold larger items: EDC pouch, tablet computer etc. The main compartment can hold much more stuff - a full size laptop (although a huge 17" monster might be a squeeze), pack-it cubes, clothing etc. Full clamshell opening maximises storage and access.I went for straight black but the usual Maxpedition range of tactical colour are available (limited options through Amazon when I bought it). The material is 1000 Denier water resistant ballistic nylon and both the front and sides are covered with PALS webbing.Compression bungie strapping is fitted beneath the second compartment on the outside of the main compartment - ideal for stowing a rain jacket, umbrella etc.Total capacity is 23 litres and it is the only backpack of its size in the Maxpedition range to feature twin bottle holders. These were actually a huge selling point for me. Not having to take up storage inside the bag yet allowing two 1L bottles/coffee mugs is very useful. These pouches are deep and can be cinched close too. A really great feature. The straps are very adjustable and there's a 1" sternum strap if you need it. The main straps are 2.25" padded and feature more PALS webbing s you can attach whatever you like.Love this bag!

The mighty Maxpedition!!
Can't fault Maxpedition gear, I actually had this bag in khaki for over a year, sold it then bought a competitors bag, realised I had made a terrible mistake literally after a week or two, sold that one and now re-bought the pygmy falcon ii in black, very pleased and will not be changing, this bag is cavernous. It has all the right pockets in all the right places, if there was one thing I could change it would be I would like to see the back have the same padding and iPad stash pocket as seen on the Hazard 4 Watson sling bag, if the two could be combined I think I would have the ultimate backpack! That will never happen so I use this bag as my daily carry and am very pleased, I also have the beefy organiser which seems to be sized to compliment this bag. 5 stars for Maxpedition!!
