Japanese Wooden Clogs Geta Slippers

This lightweight shoe has grippy soles. The cushy straps are satiny on top and have a grippy sort of suede-like material on the bottom. The included tabi socks aren’t the best but help keep the shoes on your feet. I ordered a size 6.5 in black on black and was sent a size 38 which fit my whole foot very well. Note: I usually wear a 36 in a European size (2 sizes up from my regular size). You must break these Geti clogs in by wearing them for a short time each day and shorten your stride. You’ll learn to manage the clunk. I find they have good arch support, however they are not for extended walking outdoors. That said, it’s a good Japanese style shoe for light wear and an authentic look with your kimono or yukata.

They were cute and comfortable with perfect with my hibachi theme birthday party outfit. I would’ve gave it five stars however my feet hurt it so bad the next day.

They are exactly as pictured, described and desired. I bought them as quick easy shoes for pedicures. They do take a moment to walk in as to not sound like a horse on NYC sidewalks. but once you stop thinking about them and just walk, they are as quiet as sneakers. These Getas can be found in childrens sizes and for men as well. Pro: Thick rubber on the wooden bottom for sound proofing, anti-slip on wet surfaces. Carved insole to help flat feet, or stop the foot from loosing its arch like with standard flip flops. Pain free arch support. For me this is my introduction to arch support as the $60 forms my podiatrists had me purchase had me standing, walking and just resting in complete pain.

The slipper seems ok but the fabric hinge at the toe is tight and little uncomfortable. I had return this. The hinge is covered by sole so to do some fix a person will have take off the rubber sole which is not possible.

I love these. I wouldn't call them comfort slippers since they're made of wood. But I love them for the garden. It takes a while to get used to walking in them. Since they're made of wood and they're very durable and they wash clean. I bought them so that I can use them in the garden which they function well because they clean off really nicely. If you like this kind of thing which I did I thought they were great value for the money. I have socks that go with these shoes to make them more comfortable when I'm outside. Yeah I'd buy another pair

Good sizing. Purchased for my daughter, the size ran true. Seems well made and she says they are quite comfortable (for wooden shoes). She actually wore them all afternoon, walking on our hardwood floors without issues.

Fits nice, feels comfortable- but I'll have to take it to a festival soon to see how it feels walking in for a long while- but with the socks I don't have to worry about slipping. The colors options are nice and great for matching with whatever traditional Japanese outfit you might already have.
