I purchased this to help protect my dining room table. It was worked wonderfully. It is nice and thick preventing any denting when writing on the surface. It is easy to clean. I've had it for over a year and it is still as good as new. If you do get any marks on it, they clean up easily with Magic Eraser. This was a life saver as my son and granddaughter moved in with me. Without it, my table surely would have been ruined!

This is what I get for not reading the reviews before purchasing. As other have noted, what is delivered does not look like the photos on the Amazon site. The material comes tightly rolled and I cannot get it to lie perfectly flat to be used as a desktop cover, even after following the instructions that came in the package. I cannot recommend this for tabletop or desktop covering. Rather than return it, I think I can get some use out of this as a shelf liner. I purchased a replacement that is thicker (2mm) and had better reviews. 2-stars since the material is usable but not for the intended purpose.
