Does NOT fit older 400P/40043 compressors!
The part itself was fine. BUT, if your ViaAir 400p (part # 40043) compressor is more than 10 years old this part will NOT fit!! The 3/8"/part # 92627 is TOO BIG for an older 400P. You will need Part # 92630/1/4" as a direct replacement.YES, I DID measure the opening but unfortunately my original plastic part was destroyed and the difference between 3/8" and 1/4" is minuscule. Both Amazon and the ViaAir said the direct replacement was this part but upon receiving it the 92627 filter was too large for my 12 year old 400P/40043.Turns out, the part number for the air compressor hasn't changed but they changed the size of the filter opening from 1/4" to 3/8" so if your 400P is older check with Via Air and/or measure carefully. Upon calling them I was told the correct part for the OLDER 400P is 92630. Nowhere is this indicated on any website. I had to call Via Air and talk to their tech dept.Fortunately Amazon made this right. Thanks so much! Great service as usual. That's why I buy from Amazon.

A great all metal filter assembly
This all metal Viair intake filter assembly fit perfectly on my Viar compressor replacing the plastic one that was the original filter assembly. If you order this be sure that you measure the threaded inlet as there are several different sizes. I would buy this again.

Works as expected, problem is the design
The filter fits correctly and is OEM for the compressor, the problem is the design, this filter sits in the front of the unit and is exposed, making it susceptible to damage.

Good product, good price, rapid delivery
Great product, fair price, rapid delivery. I would add anti seize to the NPT threads so that if it breaks off (I dropped the VIAR) that the NPT nipple doesn't stick in the intake and take forever to get out.

Fixed My Compressor
The part restored my air compressor to its original functionality. Simple fix - not much more to say.

Take off after use
It replaced the one cracked at the the filter body at the threads. I recommend unscrew after use and but masking tape over the hole of the compressor.

This is an OEM replacement.
This is an exact fit/replacement for the portable air compressor. The problem is not the assembly, it's where Vivair placed it on the compressor body. Very easy to break off. Recommended.

Highly recommend over the cheap plastic one
Recommend getting this filter over the cheap plastic one that comes with the compressors. My plastic one basically fell apart and ruined my compressor. Wish I would of known about this sooner
