5" Gutter Guards Leaf Protection, Domestic Aluminum Gutter Covers 5 Inch (Sample, High-Gloss White)

Initially, I purchased a different gutter guard from local big box warehouse store that was twice the cost of this one. I finally gave up trying to install it and returned if. It was labeled for 5” gutters, excellent quality and more of a woven thicker screen with rigid aluminum edges. It was not bendable and would have been difficult to cut, and had to be slid an inch under the edge of shingles, which was not possible in some places. I ordered this and am very pleased with the much easier install. The back edge of the pieces are bendable, although sturdy, to allow a good fit when there is some variation on the width of the gutter, which happens during their install. I was able to cut pieces to fit lengthwise, when needed, and needed only an occasional screw. Not needed on every piece. 5/8” metal screws are included. The pieces snap firmly in place along the front edge which made for a clean, secure fit. Overall, very pleased with the product design, quality and install. I’m a 69 year old female and I’d consider this a relatively easy DIY.

I am a seventy year old retired aircraft mechanic. Because of my profession I tend to be a perfectionist. I looked at a number of gutter guard products before selecting these as I was tired of climbing ladders and cleaning gutters at least five times a year. I am extremely pleased I chose this product. I purchased two hundred feet of Waterlock 5” Gutter Guards to install. Installation was very straightforward. The interlocking feature made the mating joints fit perfectly. Having the back side of the guard positioned at the proper angle was crucial to the fit. I found that inserting a thin scribe in one of the back holes to raise the guard to the proper angle enabled a perfect fit. I completed the installation a week ago. We have not had any rain as yet but I don’t foresee any issues and I am very pleased with the guards.

This is a high quality product that is exactly as advertised. It is sturdy aluminum finished with quality finish, mine is Royal Brown color. The install is super easy and the pre-drilled holes make it a snap to secure. There are a good number of matching screws included which was more than I needed. These will perform for years to come.

I purchased and installed over 250 feet of Waterlock 5" Gutter Guards Leaf Protection in Royal Brown. From the first purchase of the sample it was apparent that the customer service at Art of Gutter was going to be outstanding. They included a free sample of their MicroMesh Gutter Guard so that I could compare the two products before choosing the one that would work best in my situation. I had several questions concerning the delivery of two separate packages, the number of screws included, and the proper installation of the gutter guards. Their response was immediate to all of my questions and actually answered all my questions. Now to what I learned. My 40 year old gutters had been battered by several hurricanes and were not pristine as the gutters are in all the videos. If you have new gutters then the installation will be a breeze and the number of screws provided will probably be sufficient...BUT if you have old crooked, dented gutters then plan on purchasing about 50% more screws to keep the gutter guards in place and tight to the gutter. I'm 73 years old and installed the 250' in 2 days of 95 degree Florida weather on pretty bad gutters so the average do it yourself-er should have no problem installing these gutter guards. As a side note I chose the Waterlock guards over the MicroMesh guards due to greater flexibility in conforming to my battered gutters. The MicroMesh would have been my first choice because they filter better and pass more water but were too rigid for my situation. Also, if you have pine trees with needles then the MicroMesh guards would be a better choice. All that said, I'll report back on how well these pass water and how well they hold up. 2025 UPDATE. After Hurricane Milton's 22 inches of rain and many Florida frog strangler rains, I can't say enough good things about how well these gutter guards have performed. Not one drop has gone over the guards...all the rain continues to be captured by my gutters! I didn't need the MicroMesh gutters after all, the cheaper Waterlock guards have worked great.

We recently had a handyman install the gutter guard. Our home is a two story. He said it was very easy to install. He said the guard was pliable and durable. It does not harm the shingles in any way. Have recommended it to many of our neighbors.

Such an amazing product, went with the black and was a perfect match. Finished the house, going to the garage next. Simple, and easy to install. I used a small drill bit for the pilot hole, and socket to tighten down the screw.
