Vitamin D2: New Perspectives in Drawing

This is a beautiful compendium showcasing many of the most talented 'current' artists whose work sits within the genre of 'drawing' within the world now. The book itself (paper used) is high quality, making the reproductions of the work impressive. Great to see some contemporary British artists, such as the amazing work of Richard Forster and that of the talented Ewan Gibbs, getting a much deserved mention. A must for any serious artist wishing to aspire for greatness. The hard back copy is great value too.

This is a marvellous collection of contemporary artists involved in drawing. The book is very carefully produced by the publisher and the paper fits the subject perfectly. The problem is that it is heavy and rather fragile. Amazon will pack it loose in a box that is too big and with no real protection to stop it moving around. It will arrive dented and damaged (I've tried two copies so far, and won't bother with a third attempt).

it gives me an insight of whats going on right now in art world, which is precious to me. I can also find out about the new artists that i would never find myself.

I love this book and the others in the vitamin series. So inspiring

This book lacks the quality of drawings and artists that Vitamin D successfully brought together.I keep dipping into volume 1 as it is so diverse and visually stunning. Volume 2 doesn't live up to it's predecessor.

This book is well put together and bound with a durable binding. The printing job is beautiful and it maintains the high standards found throughout the rest of Phaidon's Vitamin series. While the book lacks academic or scholarly content, it makes an amazing table topper, and belongs in any art-lovers book collection.

Io non sono Picasso ma il livello degli artisti contenuti in questo volume è tutt'altro che ispirativo e interessante. Probabilmente avranno una buona quotazione... L'ho messo sotto la pigna di libri; dubito che mi verrà voglia di riguardarlo. Peccato, i libri della Phaidon solitamente ripsettano le aspettative.

Like the Vitamin P: New Perspectives in Painting books, the Vitamin D: New Perspectives in Drawing are excellent and often surprising resources for artists, students, teachers, and enthusiasts who want to broaden their understanding of what a contemporary drawing practice can look like. The scale, design, production value, and image quality is second to none. Vitamin D2 was a worthwhile addition to my library. Highly recommended.
